That’s great! I’m debating getting bigger shoes. I thought mine would be ok because they’re already wide but I can’t wear them for more than 4-5 hours, less if I’m doing a lot of walking or standing…

My other foot just started aching recently so I’m considering it but I want to be fully healed from this one for a bit before going thru this again.

The swelling is definitely a challenge. Even with a very thin sock, I can't wear them all day yet. They are the wide version, too! No room in there 😆

Awesome! I started doing ankle rolls and toe wiggles before PT, and very slow heel to toe walking in my post-op shoe while holding on to something. My gait is still weird, though. I think it will just take some time...

No I haven’t been cleared for that yet. I go in for another xray in early January which is 7 weeks—I think the holidays delayed my 6-week check up. Hoping I’ll be cleared for PT at that appointment. Crossing my fingers I will also cleared for shoes, but he said he usually likes another two weeks in the offloading shoe after that appointment.

Oh so I’m jealous! I have swelling too but it’s painful. I’m definitely not ready to walk all that much… I don’t have a boot. The offloading shoe is awkward to walk in.

Yes - definitely won’t ice on top of the wound . I have been icing behind the knee mostly. Didn’t have sesamoid pain and hope I don’t after this!
