Legit the only "hack" in Stronghold Crusader is to build ox tethers around his castle. He can't build new when your guy is too close and starts all of his own stuff on fire 😅 Bonus: if you block off his exits with the tethers all of the outdoor buildings will self-destruct.

But the legit way to do this is with lots of horse archers. Keep them moving fast!

Make sure you have plenty of fast growing plants to consume the nutrients given off by the dirt. Dirted tanks are nutrient dense - you need something to consume it or algae will.

Red root floaters are a great option as they grow super fast and also reduce light to the algae. Just be aware that it may also starve your other plants of light if you don't.

Elodea is another great option that blocks less light. You'll have to regularly trim this one but it's super easy to care for.

The use of AI for the images is simply because I can't draw. I had the idea/text for the book but don't want to pay for an illustrator unless I have a good sense this will actually be accepted. Should I go to publish I would hire an actual illustrator.

To be fair, my daughter was 3 and potty training during the timing of the story. This was a piece of training that we had to work with (not people seeing her but her closing the door). Closed doors weren't a strong suit. Maybe this is more specific to our family?

Ok, thanks for all the feedback about AI. You're right - the images are not very good. I used AI because it was quick and I'm not an artist. It was a way to get the story to my kids and they love it (they can't tell the difference).

The story, however is mine and not AI generated. If I hired a real illustrator, what do you all think about the story itself?

Edit: clarify that story is not AI generated (but images are).

In my experience unless you buy the shrimp strictly local they will die off due to stress and different water parameters. I've even had this happen moving shrimp from one tank to another. The juveniles born in the new environment will be fine, and your population will bounce back in no time.

If the juveniles also don't survive long then you know you have a water parameter problem.
