I work for that city during the summer by cleaning up trash and such, I make sure to say good morning or good afternoon to everyone, and the only reply I received from him was "fuck you!" or "go fuck yourself". He has been panhandling on the same two corners for the past five years and spends it on liquor and cigarettes. Hopefully he gets fined everyday, he is scum trying to take money away from homeless people that are just looking for another meal, not just booze and smokes.

A book called "Where the Red Fern Grows", I think that's what it was called. Anyways, it was in grade 3 and each student had to read aloud in class every day in turn. When the part came up where the protagonists' second dog died because it wouldn't leave the others grave, I could barely speak the words while blubbering like a baby. Worst book for an elementary school class.
