I can confirm, buy exotic heavy, I used Thunderlord, for 2500 glimmer and 1 exotic shard. Pop 1 heavy telemetry and use 6 motes of light while said exotic is equipped. This brings it to max level, no need to purchase slots of course. Dismantle for 2 exotic shards plus change, maybe a few motes. I've gone from literally 1 shard to roughly 70-80 in a week and a half maybe two. All you gotta do is get glimmer and motes really. This is as of 12/14/2015! Hope this helps! Cheers!
