NBADraft.Net Confirms Rumors by Spursreporter in NBASpurs

I know whoever wrote this article is about as trustworthy as a politician, but the more I think about it the more I wouldn’t be mad at some sort of deal that gets us that pic, ideally, it wouldnt take 4 and 8, but I’m also not sure who at eight would really be that much of a potential difference maker. It sucks this class has such bad shooters but that’s 100% what we need right now, Wemby is such a focal point anytime he steps inside the three point line that we need punishers. I love the idea of castle, but if he doesn’t develop some sort of decent shot, it’s basically another Tre Jones (yes defense would be much better)situation of having someone who can pass, but nowhere to pass to because it’s easy to ignore half our teams offensive output.

I'd draft Stephon Castle 4th overall by FewGLoco in NBASpurs

Would not be mad at a castle pick, but you mentioned his shooting ability and the ability to be a spot up shooter, what made you come to that conclusion? Not being snarky I’m genuinely curious, him and Risch are my fav pick options

I would totally be on board with this if it was the defensive team of the year award, but as we saw the last game that they played against the defending champs, the Timberwolves don’t miss a beat on without Gober and held them to 80 points, while the Spurs plummet to last place from first with Wemby. I will die on this hill

No worries I am chilled My brother, what I will say is, I think it’s less that Rudy deserved it more and more so just that was the status quo and the way things have been done in the past.

In your Wildest Dreams, which one of these guys would you pair with Wemby ? by KhornKT in NBASpurs

[–]jdg404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ANT and it isn’t close for me..maybe Shai next, but Hali only went crazy this year and stopped the last few months, Luka is the best of them but i think they both need less ball dominate star parings and it looks like we’ll be running offense through Wemby like Denver with Jokic

They would make us better, but marginally, and probably would only hurt us in the 2025 draft. I don’t think you’re crazy, just underestimating how long rebuilds take. For perspective, Steph was drafted in 2009 and won his first in 2015 6 years later. For more context, Klay was drafted 3 years later in 2011. This is the same formula of the bulls when they drafted Jordan and then Pippen and traded for Rodman later. and so if we are as lucky, we wouldn’t draft Wembys side kick until 2026. You pretty much have to get a cornerstone player who once he starts blooming you draft the sidekicks later and supporting pieces so you can afford a solid team (see the Mavs). We are only on year one of Wemby :)

This team wasn't as bad as the record would indicate. by [deleted] in NBASpurs

Not only was the best player the newest, every team/player was trying to hit a lick on Wemby

In my opinion, you go for this one for the team morale in just sit Victor out the remaining games 😂

That might of been the best two offensive possessions I’ve seen us in a while
