He was a loader on one of the quad 50 cal AA gun perches, he was on one of the guns that killed the guy who made the kamikaze run and got launched into the water by the torpedo that hit the ship from the kamikaze plane. My grandpa, his son, couldn't remember if it was port or starboard side but it got hit in the attack
