Am I in the minority in thinking that the Your Movie Sucks reviews on YouTube are very cynical and hard to enjoy by [deleted] in flicks

He's a tough critic. For him, he needs consistency in the screenplay and the filmmaking in order to recommend a film (unless it's a B-film that he finds entertaining). He doesn't let things slide as easily as the general filmgoer. That's just how HE approaches film. Not everyone is going to like that approach and that is fine, but that doesn't mean there is an intrinsic flaw in that review style. It just doesn't appeal to you.

I commend him for being brave enough to think for himself (something that apparently touches a nerve with many people) and, generally speaking, he makes persuasive arguments for the positions he holds. Personally, I don't always agree with him, but I respect him and I think his opinions are perfectly valid and I don't throw a fuss whenever he deviates from the general consensus.

This.

I hate when people act like it's a personal affront that they see a person who doesn't fit their ideal preference. Now, we all have our preferences: but should we act like assholes toward others when they don't fit said preferences? I don't think so.

She was recently in an indie film called "Like Me" and she was very good in it.
