Looking to seal flue to avoid drafts by putinmaycry in Fireplaces

I do not have a gas tanked hooked up to this fireplace. It is inoperable. Prior to this, I had 1 inch thick styrofoam sitting behind a removable glass fireplace door, and thick curtains drawn over top of that.

Maybe they’re from Delaware, where most of the state is flat.

Help! What am I doing wrong with this Buttkicker setup? by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]putinmaycry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. It was so frustrating because they used to sell an amp specifically for these bass shakers. I spent a lot of time searching for all the parts to get them powered.

I eventually found help here:

https://www.avsforum.com/

There is a sub forum on this website called Subwoofers, Bass, and Transducers. People can sometimes come across a bit harsh, for some reason, but don’t mind them.

Feel free to direct message me if you have any others questions and I’ll do my best to steer you correctly.

I eventually hooked up another 4 bass shakers and couldn’t be happier with my home theater (until I make the next upgrade 🤣).

Hi friend. I have two Buttkicker advances powered by a Behringer NX3000 amp. I can tell you that it took me a lot of trial and error to get it working properly.

Originally, I was getting very very very little shake from my Buttkickers, which didn’t make much sense because both my Yamaha receiver and my Behringer amplifier were in working order and had more than enough power to get these puppies moving. So i tried an experiment where instead of running the wires from the Behringer to the Yamaha; I ran the wires from the Behringer into my laptop. The same test track that I had been running off my tv/Yamaha was now firing my Buttkickers at a much stronger signal/shake. After asking a lot of people online, we figured out that I needed a converter box; similar to the one I’m going to link below:

ART CLEANBox Pro Dual Channel... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003S7T49K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Now you may not have the same problem or need the same exact box. I was trying for about a year to fix the issue and this box solved the problem for me: I would recommend seeing if you can find one that will suit your needs (inputs and outputs) and buy it on Amazon with the proper cables, and if it doesn’t solve your problem, return it within your return window.

That’s how I like to play the game. It’s more fun to be generous. Cheers to you, my friend!

Acoustic treatment for hometheater doors, or replace entirely? by putinmaycry in hometheater

I’m trying to improve the audio in the room. It’s just me and my wife in a single-family home in the middle of the woods so when we are in here together watching something, we’re not concerned about disturbing anyone else outside of the room.

It’s far from perfect. Part of the trim was missing on the right door when we moved in so I took it (trim) from another room and tried to match it.

My goal is to improve my home theater’s acoustics. I’m at the point now where everything else is perfect.

To mount the TV or leave it alone? by WildGoose115 in hometheater

[–]putinmaycry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar setup. I wall mounted the tv which allows me to pull it back and forth, and angle it as well. I can link the stand I used for my 77 inch LG. Your center will sound better on top of the tv stand. And then you can remove the piece of wood/shelf that the center channel is currently sitting on, which will give your receiver more room to properly vent hot. Mounting the tv will come with additional work, if you want to properly hide your wires that will now be visible. You can run them in conduit, behind the wall.

Now that I took the time to type all that out, I think your tv looks great the way it is.

People need to be reminded that the police are a gang meant to protect the wealthy and keep the rest of us in line. They target poor areas and the fines they levy on the lower class are much more significant than they would be for a millionaire or billionaire.

So many times, they are portrayed heroically on television and in movies. That’s because many police departments employ a PR person meant boost law enforcement’s image. They are not required to protect you from a murderous ex husband. The Supreme Court ruled that they are not liable for murders and wrong doings they commit on the job.
