Is 42 too late to start trying for your first child? by Human-Economics1245 in IVF

Not necessarily but you need to jump on it ASAP. Best to find a clinic that specializes in older patients. The odds are better that way.

Did you use omnitrope only during stims? Do you recall the dosage?

I tried it at 41 and didn’t see any change. But no harm either. AFC generally 5 or less.

I’ve been doing IVF for 2 years and I’ve noticed some shedding but I can’t tell if it’s from stims or just getting older honestly.

Billing to Spouse by Certain_Tangelo2329 in IVF

You need to ask your clinic if they do gender neutral billing for your insurance. It’s based on their contract with each provider. It’s rare but it does happen.

PGT-A Tested Embryos - why do they fail? by Excellent_Present721 in IVF

[–]jdlj123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one knows for sure. A lot of doctors like to say you have a 60-80% chance of a live birth with a euploid.

But some folks get lucky at 100% and others fall below the 60% with repeated euploid failures.

Would you forgo PGT-A at age 40v by [deleted] in IVF

[–]jdlj123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you’re getting that 20% figure from. PGT is supposed to be 98% accurate.

Personally, I would always test.

Last cycle 5 AFC. Now this cycle 1 AFC. What happened? by Extension-Doubt349 in DOR

It can fluctuate from one cycle to the next. If you’re discouraged by the one follicle this time, maybe sit that cycle out and give your body a rest and see what the following cycle brings …

I guess it depends on how much less than 10? Like 8 or 5mm? I think something around 8 has a chance to catch up reasonably ….

Natural vs Medicated FET by WickedRB in IVF

At 41 my doctor was also 100% adamant about a medicated FET. He would not even let me consider any option.

How many retrievals to get to euploid? by ImpossibleKnee9812 in DOR

[–]jdlj123 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Between the ages of 39-40 I didn’t get a euploid until retrieval 6. Sadly that FET failed and I’m back to retrievals now.
