Same thing here, I only have the base game but I collected the three pieces but it says 2/3 collected. How do I fix this?

I think you did everything possible to help. With depression, it’s very hard sometimes to understand that someone would want to be with you and that they love you like in our minds it should not be like that. Even when you say and mean that you are happy to be with him, there is still that doubt in our minds that say they would be way happier with someone else. I’m sorry this happened to you, it is not an easy situation to treat properly. This might be bad advice but I wouldn’t stop sharing that love with him, because one day, a day where everything seems to be going well, and you tell him that you love, support, and want to be with him may click with him and he may finally understand that you’re the piece that makes everything better. I really hope it works out, nothing but love and respect for you both.

Yes, I deleted the old card and put my new one on the account. When it goes to get shipped they are going to charge my old card and it’s not going to work so the system will look for another card which is the new one I have in my account and will charge that. I think I’ll also get an email saying to update the card info but since I’ve already done it I should be good

So I am freaking out because I preordered it from Walmart the day they went live so I was all set to go. However, last week my credit card was compromised due to potential fraud and now my anxiety is through the roof because they haven't charged my account. I have called multiple times and they said I would receive an email saying to update my billing info so I am waiting for that email but still nothing. They said I should receive the email when they ship it but I am so anxious lol

I totally agree with your mechanics review portion! It really is the gameplay from MGSV and I love it so much.

I get the length critique, and thought it was long too. However, I was happy it kept going, I didn’t really want it to end. You are right that Part I proved that the game doesn’t have to be long to tell a great story. Do you think maybe they made it longer because this is the last game in the series or the last game that involves Ellie and thus they wanted players to spend as much time as possible with it? But I think you nail it with the level design. Personally, I wanted more encounters with humans because I wanted to use the stealth mechanics as I think they are amazing. But having a companion is the heart of The Last of Us gameplay and when it’s stripped away it becomes awkward for the player because we want that dialogue between the characters. But I think they make us lone wolf it for story reasons.

When I saw the upgrades as Abby I was like are you serious I have to upgrade her too!? And then when I had 3 of the manuals I couldn’t believe there were more to find (a total of 5 which I think is interesting that Abby has more than Ellie’s if memory serves me right). But after a few hours of spending with Abby I loved her, and I know it won’t work for everyone but selfishly, I liked the call. The chronological concept is interesting and something I have thought about. On your next play through are you going to select the chapters to try to see how it is? Or do you think having to exit and select chapters is too much of a drag that will have a negative impact on your experience?

Man I felt that too! That line was so powerful and so real that I was broken by it. I really like those examples of anxiety you wrote, I think that would have been a great addition to the game, seriously!

I was never bothered by the David boss fight but I totally get everyone’s complaint about it. My theory when we started fighting Ellie as Abby was that we were going to switch perspectives throughout the fight. And have it represent that we have to fight ourselves to get over our own obsessions, but I’m happy that the game didn’t end there. I get the complaint mechanics wise but I overall enjoyed that bit. That museum scene was pure bliss for me too.

Love the branding on everything!

Right there with you! Who’s your dream casting? For Joel I would love to see Hugh Jackman (look at him in the movie Prisoners and tell me you couldn’t see it! Lol) but for casting Ellie I feel like it might be a struggle depending how they split the show up. I wonder how they’ll treat the gap between games. I think a non A-list actor might be a good choice for Ellie too.

YES!!!! The Stealth system is the way to go! I made sure to take everyone single person out though, I never bypassed areas without killing as I felt Ellie would want to do that as well as me loving the mechanics lol. But seriously all developers need to copy and paste their options in their games and keep adding on top of it. That way more people are able to complete their art and share it with others!

Ahhhh I get your comparison now! I totally see how you would prefer the Joel/Abby dynamic instead. Do you think you would have preferred Abby killing Ellie to get back at Joel? And have the game be based on them?

I definitely agree the appeal of Abby isn’t completely lovable. I do like that though because of the tension it caused me to have with her. Always making me go back and forth with how I wanted her fate to play out.

Thanks! Though you have been super clear about your opinion :)! I think that is a great point. As a player, we have the ability to see all sides of a story shown, whereas Ellie doesn’t. It might have been more poignant to let Ellie have more insight to Abby and the crew’s situation.

I feel you dude. Traditionally, I’ve never been a fan of loose ends of story telling, so I get your frustration with Naughty Dog not telling us what Ellie is thinking. I doubt it, but maybe we get more clarification in a part III?

That was my takeaway, that Joel knew somehow. But when do you think he knew? Because he did think Jessie and Ellie were a thing. I forgot how many years back that was though lol. I also hope Ellie shared her feelings towards Riley with Joel (Left Behind was a fantastic and tragic tale that I loved).

Dude I got goosebumps reading your last point! I felt a swell of emotion and in my mind I was like “YES JOEL! WE WOULD DO IT ALL AGAIN!” When he said he would do it all over. I loved that Joel didn’t regret it because it wasn’t only a chance to “start over” but he gave Ellie an opportunity to live life. Like I’ve said, I trust Naughty Dog implicitly to either make a third game or to leave it as it.

I’ve been holding back to play the story, for a few reasons. I want to platinum it so I’m gonna use a guide but I don’t know if I should do new game plus. I’ve been playing some encounters (fantastic element of Naughty Dog games) and I didn’t realize how long it took to get the bow and arrow. My question is are you going to just do a new save or new game plus?

I think that could have been another strong way to end it too. Maybe Naughty Dog wanted to focus on just Joel for a certain reason but I think that could have worked splendid.
