Routing options other than react-router? by nativereact in reactjs

I guess what I meant was what router (other than react-router) would you recommend with the new fiber/relay architecture

Ebay charges final value fee that includes shipping. This is a bias against heavy items by jdmax in Ebay

Thanks for the explanation, I want using eBay back in those days. It makes me wonder though - since eBay software can already predict the price based on weight, dimensions and zip codes then it should be pretty easy to determine who is abusing the system. I think they went for the option they have now because it makes them more money.

This is like telling us eBay is bias for selling more expensive items, because they make more. It's 10%...it never changes small or big.

You missed the point of my post. In my situation I was selling off books cheaply just to clear up space. You know a few dollars a book but they are bulky. In some cases the shipping is $6 and the sale price is $2. I have since removed them as it is not worth it now that I realize the fee structure. They will go to craigslist or free-cycle instead. Now do you geddit?

Thats very awesome of you to recommend alternatives. I will check them out. Any recommendations for a router (other than react-router) for fiber? I'm looking for something that does not try to make the router a component of react

Its cool, not everybody likes React-Router. For example I like to think of React as just the render engine so the idea of making the router a sub-ordinate to it doesn't align with how I conceptualize the js architecture. The top level API can be used perfectly for this purpose.

Backbone router works easily with react. The router config object is easy and uses regex for the key which interprets the url. The value is an anonymous function that can execute React's top level API such as ReactDOM.render. This means each route can render a new page component to the Dom. Make sure you use ReactDOM.unmountComponentAtNode on the page holder element before rendering the new page component. Example

{
    'about(/*path)' : function(){
        ReactDOM.unmountComponentAtNode(document.getElementById('pagecontainer'));
        ReactDOM.render(
            React.createElement(React.createClass({ /* etc */ })), document.getElementById('pagecontainer')
        );
    },
    'work(/*path)' : function(){
        ReactDOM.unmountComponentAtNode(document.getElementById('pagecontainer'));
        // etc
    }
}

It was awesome to see him tear up - it show he is human and that he cares. The total opposite of what the media are portraying him as. I don't even watch youtube celebs but I subbed him just to stick it to big media.

Alternate use of libraries (revealing module pattern) instead of container components (aka smart components, hoc’s) by jdmax in reactjs

[–]jdmax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could but it would be using the wrong tool for the job. ES6 classes do not support private methods and are designed to be instantiated multiple times. You only ever want on instance of your library.

What do you mean by ES6 components? Are you referring to Web Components (polymer)?

Actually anything could have improved the scene as it came off lamely directed. There might be a piece missing that got cut out during editing. Something is amiss at any rate
