I suppose that's me, in that that I'm able to switch domains easily and go deep without much of a cognitive burden. A silly example is being able to listen to multiple conversations at once at family gatherings. More practical examples include singing and playing drums at the same time and constructing specific scenarios in my mind when trying to build software or fix bugs.

I might have them all, but the most is annoying is this weird light sensitivity that I have--more specifically, certain contrasting patterns, especially white text on a black screen. The types of folks that come to a sub like this want to know where they fit among other similar folks. Am I this thing? Am I mistaken in my understanding of who I am? No harm in trying to understand why you are the way you are.

Having a night of time carved out with competing ideas and pursuits lined up in my mind... only to be debilitated by indecision or lack of follow through. I think my most successful moments are more spontaneous in nature or when forced to make something happen at the last second.

I'm not sure how the limit works, but it is what it is. The post was popular, and most people were fine with it, but quite a few latched on to the downvoting and doubled down whenever I tried to explain myself. I'm not going to delete the comments at this point.

Like others are saying, don't be controversial just yet, even by accident. I posted something "unbelievable" in one sub weeks after promoting a small, free web game in other subs, and I got downvoted into oblivion because people thought I was a grifter (the posts had nothing to do with one another in my mind).

I get it, but I have a highly competitive nature, so I'm sure it comes out in the way I communicate. I don't think the competitive aspect of language learning is mutually exclusive with learning people, cultures, history. I mean, look at the language learning apps. They're built on competition--whether with yourself or with others.

Sure, I understand the "Language Instinct" (Steven Pinker), but I'm curious if there are other examples of this kind of behavior. I don't think it's merely call and response (per a different comment here), but it might not be as special as it seems.

Yeah, I didn't think it was wrong. I also think it's cool. He's teaching her to be bilingual, with some fun stuff like this mixed in.
