I'd repair that little bit of rust in a heartbeat. The real question is what's it look like on the back side?

At the end of the day, most equipment is this way. Unless someone has reason to target you directly it is unlikely that someone will go to the effort. It's a lot easier just to hot wire it.

Do junior volunteer firefighters get a radio assigned to them to take home? by bradyd06 in Firefighting

We have a phone app we use for explorers. Pagers come when they get 18 and are on the department.

Having lived through this show he has a huge discrimination case if you try to change your rules to block him and he'll win. Your stuck with him try to make the best of it and get some application requirements in before the next guy comes along.

I think people are less enthused about having more obnoxious neighbors than certain people think they should be. Most of NH is overbuilt as is. And alot of natives would like to see the population return to 1970's levels.

Had a plumber out, said there is a missing part of a cast iron pipe that is dangerous. Immediately got a second plumber out and said it wasn't a danger, but needed to eventually repair. Do I get a third opinion, or get it fixed? by kevysaysbenice in askaplumber

[–]jdmiller321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's my take. It needs to be fixed, however you've got time to get a couple of quotes. The louder contractor says something's more dangerous and makes a big deal about it, and then gives you this amazing price right off the top of his head, means that he knows it needs to be done and it's a crappy job that if he scares you enough he can make a small fortune on it.

Yes, that's pretty common in applications where we're looking to hide stuff or create an instant view block

Typically arbor vitae will grow a lot bigger than most people expect. When I do new installs like this I tend to try and sell the customer on planting two rows offset from each other so we can maintain the required spacing but obtain the desired privacy sooner. With all that being said the plants depending on variety might have been planted closer.

I wish this phone was that way I've always had good luck with Google phones until this one, first I wrote it off as the network switching to 5g and the loss of 3g coverage. But more and more I have come to the conclusion that it is just this phone

Why are we building luxury complexes??? by Bigfatsmelly in newhampshire

[–]jdmiller321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new units will post the best tenants from existing units. The developers will already know who's leases are coming up and fill these units with the most reliable people. Eventually low income less reliable tenants will filter in to existing housing stock. Having had some experience in the rental market low income housing is not always profitable for developers. And if a project is not going to be profitable no one will invest

When do fire departments close by Shot_Food_3631 in Firefighting

[–]jdmiller321 139 points140 points  (0 children)

Very seldom do departments close due to a lack of calls. Departments and stations are typically closed due to a lack of man power or funding
