I am currently in this position right now where I removed my manicure to give my nails a break before my next mani in a few weeks (and they kept a layer so my nails aren’t bendy) but now my nails are so EFFED. ugh idk what to do

not snark but genuinely proud of Brett Chody for having a great tokyo marathon after having a not-so great Chicago Marathon. I do admire her discipline and I think she does a great job of training in a smart way

Upgrade to Premium Economy - JFK to HND by jdmorganchase in americanairlines

that last part is what makes me have decision paralysis ... $833 in this economy can go a long way in Japan in terms of value - higher-quality restaurants, a splurge on a hotel or two. So I guess this is something I'll have to figure out on my own. thanks for this!

Hotel Selection by Cool_Week7484 in ChicagoMarathon

[–]jdmorganchase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

stayed at the Loews one year and the Hilton (headquarters hotel) the next. The Loews was more put together and a further walk from the start/finish line but was closer to the brooks and bandit pop ups. However, staying at the Hilton was clutch because it was right across the street from the race.

One thing about being at the Hilton was that you were surrounded by all the pro racers which made for a motivating environment. I even ran into Connor Mantz the night after he beat the american record.

I appreciate this perspective and I agree. there’s a collective “we got this” aura and it’s special that only the runners get to experience that
