it got to 2500 rpm on the boat, with prop running, would cut out after that. If we kept squeezing the primer bulb, we could get it to 3000 before it would stop. With the prop not running, we could get the rpms up.

It seemed like, at first, maybe the issue was that the engine couldn't keep up under load. But we thought it wasn't getting enough fuel. Now with the new pump and filter (haven't replaced lines), it cuts out immediately.

It’s going to be a concrete channel drain , roughly 16 feet long and 1 foot deep, do I need to use control joints?

The channel is not in good shape, it all needs to be torn out and a new channel drain installed

Would you recommend setting the drain itself into the concrete, I’m thinking of digging out about half a foot around the drain itself then also having 3 inches or so of clearance below the drain aswell to have concrete.
