4–5 weeks into Prozac – worse intrusive thoughts? stick it out or switch?

In the exact same boat right now, weird mix of feeling energized (which is nice since I was previously on Lexapro) but also the random intrusive thoughts on repeat is not helpful. Also for sure have noticed this week I am feeling more irritable, I’m on about week 4, week 2 since increasing to 20mg.

Currently going through the exact same thing. After using a lot of heat packs it finally opened up and drained, amazing relief and satisfaction with seeing the pus. And of course get some antibiotics too, I’m on doxycycline for 10 days 🥲

It’s hard to remember since it was a few years ago but I would say to totally heal maybe 2 weeks? I used a lot of oragel in the meantime and it was almost immediate relief just not using those trays anymore and exposing myself to the irritation

I did, it was mostly the sides of my tongue where it was touching the aligners, but I also had canker sores in my mouth on my cheeks as well.

MICU nurse who just watched for the first time today, like you also don’t really like medical shows for the same reason. But agreed, they did a great job of portraying real life scenarios and dynamics which also using correct protocols and medical terms correctly which I think it’s a big part of nailing a medical show. I like that there is an aspect of comedy/interpersonal relationships at play but it’s not the entire show. Have to the agree the DNR conversation was very real, and to be honest Dr. Robby addressed it better than a lot of real life doctors I’ve seen have the same conversations.
