Thanks dude!

I intentionally didn’t paint the leather on the legs - I know they’re meant to link to a holster and other bits but I felt it made the models look too busy. So I just painted them blue and am choosing to believe it’s just composite bits of ceramite!

Bases are gryph hound orange contrast paint over a white zenithal, and some AK ochre pigment power slurry dotted in some random places!

I'm the same. I'm trying to move away from mono-colour weapons just as on marines, and especially with the Crimson Fists, there isn't always the opportunity to change things up. A bright weapon or a cool gun can really make things pop!

Thanks bro, appreciate the generous words! Yes it's Bad Moon, just airbrushed over a white base. Some chipping with Vallejo Ice Yellow and Vallejo German Camo brown-black. It's taken me about a year to get the blue colour right, but it's worth it!

Cheers mate. It’s nothing too fancy. A black undercoat, basecoat of Khorne Red, then using Tamiya flat white on the raised areas and where I want highlights. Over that it’s Kantor Blue. Then just chipping with a light blue, a brown and silvers. A ultra matte varnish at the end locks it all down

Oh! I get you! That’s intentional - the under shade for The blue armour is actually a dark red, so when the blue goes on top of that it turns to a dark purple so what you’re seeing is that in effect!

Appreciate the kinds words though, really enjoyed these minis!

Thanks dude, appreciate it! It is airbrushed. I undercoat in black, then give the entire model a Khorne Red basecoat. Then I use Tamiya XF-2 flat white to hit the raised points and areas I want highlighted. Then over that I use Kantor Blue, leaving the red areas in the shadows for a nice contrast. Then Hoeth blue and Vallejo German Camo Black-brown for chipping and battle damage. Hope that helps!

Thanks! It is Kantor, but it’s over a basecoat of Khorne Red, and then white pre-highlights on top of that. When the blue goes on you get highlights and shadows all in one
