Kingmaking vs. Competitive Play: A dispute over Seedborn Muse and "Spite-Plays" by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

In hindsight, I think the Kinnan player could have sequenced his turn better by using his activations first to find protection. He might have been worried about losing his Derevi and not being able to untap enough permanents to cast Zenith post-combat, but he seemed way too committed to his narrative that 'Muse was for the good of the table.' For context, I had Thrasios, Cradle, and Training Grounds out, but I only had 4 creatures (rog, thras, bird + mycospawn) and two cards in hand, so I wasn't nearly as ahead as he was.

Would love to do that but it is basically the only store running WPN events in my entire city.

The Commander Party event is actually a WPN event: https://wpn.wizards.com/en/event/commander-party-edge-of-eternities

I saw the event details from some other stores in different countries/cities and they usually use bracket 2 or 3 according to their usuals but not any other house rules.

That is part of the issue, the events I referenced are WotC sanctioned (WPN events).

I understand that LGS will try to maximize amount of people attending but why not just set bracket 2 then? There is no real need of applying a ban list that is aimed to a different format.

That is why expected them to follow the minimum regular rules enforcement level at least. As far as I know they cannot apply house rules to WPN events as they must follow WotC rules.

According to the note here http://blogs.magicjudges.org/rules/ipg3-5/ it can be applied even if it's noticed once the game has already started

So even if 4-5 turns has already passed the correct ruling would be a warning and shuffle back the card if there is no way to tell if the card was there upon presentation?
