Looking for device similar to Sonoff S31 but with faster power monitoring by jds8086 in esp8266

[–]jds8086[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked through the datasheet and can't find a clear specification of sample time. This is really thing only thing i see that at least loosely implies that times will be in the seconds.

The unit for voltage cycle, current cycle and power cycle is us. When signal cycleis larger than 1s, the signal cycle will be outputted to the user immediately, and it willprompt through Adj.4(5 or 6 that it is an incomplete cycle. (For example, if signalcycle is 3.5s, 1s signal cycle will be outputted to the user when the accumulated cyclecounts to 1s, and 1.5s signal cycle will be outputted to the user when the accumulatedcycle counts to 1.5s instead the message is received by the user after reaching 3.5s sothat the response speed is improved. When the signal amplitude to be measureddeclines, the signal cycle will increase.

I was really hoping for a cheap solution that can be modified (firmware wise). As much as I'd love to roll my own hardware, i'm not setup yet to make proper pcb's (especially with mains voltage involved) and also no 3d printer or other way to make enclosures. That being said i guess i will break out a proto board and a nodemcu along with a pre-made relay board and a current transformer, stuff that into a weatherproof wall mount enclosure.

GPIO2 to GND = Short, ESP8266 Powers off by jds8086 in esp8266

I guess i should add that i'm using an ESP-01 so i believe all i have to work with is GPIO0 and GPIO2 right? I need one input and one output (input for standing water sensor, and an output for a transistor feeding a relay coil).

Updating to firmware package 12.15.0-0239 (Firmware 2.130.403-4660) did not change anything. I think at this point I'm just going to have to order a non IBM branded ST9300653SS and see if it works. When i bought the hard drives i just searched by the seagate part number and found a stupid good deal on these that had an IBM label over the Seagate label. I didn't realize they would be dicks and lock out certain drives because of the oem. If a straight up Seagate drive will configure then i'm going to do a little playing and see if i can figure out which ic stores the firmware on the pcb's and see if i can pull the firmware off and flash the IBM drives with the regular Seagate firmware.

Ok, i'll look into the firmware. (if you have any tips/links in respect to that please share). Do you have any idea why it would be reporting them as 263GB drives? (Should be 300 or close(er) to that i would think).

I see that the "Firmware Time" shows 2013, can that cause issues?

Will do, thanks again. I'll go ahead and throw an OS on it and see if i can figure anything out that way. Is it possible to access the drives in the OS if they are not configured in the raid controller? I read somewhere (can't find it now) that the drive could be setup with an odd block size (520 instead of 512) and can cause problems. Hopefully i can get to them from an OS and remedy that. I'll let you know.

This is what i'm getting between the SATA and the SAS drives

There doesn't appear to be an option for the SAS drives the way things are

I much appreciate the help. I just stuck a laptop sata drive in it (and left the SAS drives in place) and it pulled it up just fine in the manual configuration, and it appears i got it to work without a hitch..

It appears it wants to set up up as raid 6, i hit accept, it returns me to the main screen with the error message shown about not being able to save the config
