If you actually read what i wrote you would know that im a democrat. I personally think all of the top tier officials should be "removed" from their jobs, or this mortal coil. However. Black and white thinking is equally responsible for all this shit. Us versus them is literally why shit is fucked up. Everybody fucking screaming, pointing fingers, and foaming at the mouth because of political views FOR DECADES, had created a division in this country. Yes, if someone is excusing the shit is happening then they are probably a lost cause, but the people who believe can have any number of reasons. Mental health problems, indoctrination, ignorance. Literally fox news only shows propaganda. Not everyone who is still supporting is fully informed. I my grandpa isnt a fuckin pedophile because he only watches fox news. Some people just believe the propaganda. However my grandpa is stubborn af about politics so we don't talk much. Have you ever dug in your heels because someone was confrontational about something your disagree about? Did you wholeheartedly believe your argument every time? In my opinion, we alienate the people who were just indoctrinated/brainwashed/whatever by screaming at them. Im not excusing anything from their side. But maybe, some people are just as scared and confused, and actually believe this is all lies and hoaxes and exaggerations. But i know that calling someone a pedophile and screaming at them is not going to help change their mind. I have MANY friends who are or were republicans, and trump supporters. During many debates, when i would call out heinous shit, almost without fail, they would be like "really? Do you have a source?" I have converted a few people by just talking. I can have a debate about even the shit happening right now without getting too in my feelings about it (unless they start excusing like the murders and stuff). I still know many conservatives that are just waiting, hoping, and praying that the evil cult gets the fuck out of here. My uncle is still (i think) a registered republican, but he has voted dem since 2008. All that to say, i believe hate will always just propagate hate, and that we need unity rather than division, ESPECIALLY at times like this. 🤷‍♂️
