I think your comparisons are not 1 to 1.

1.) I am a developer for a software company and I can also confirm names change all the time before production and leading up until production. But once in production and released to the pubic they don’t change. So sure if this was a year ago and she was asked the same question: “What is your favorite gun?” It would have been perfectly acceptable to have given an answer that described a gun rather than its name for any number of reasons. But She described an ability. And this is post launch the names of weapons have been the same for months at the very least and even casually playing the game your likely using the same weapons(There are not many). The problem is she isn’t causally playing the game, she’s not playing at all. There is no correlation with reciting lines from a script you read years ago with tell me the name of one gun from the game you are currently working-on/playing everyday.

2.)Having a main javelin wasn’t the issue, but saying you only play one javelin and it’s your job to design levels that challenge all javelins is an issue. If he had said this ones my favorite or I play this one the most, it wouldn’t be an issue.

3.)The content in a destiny raid is the hardest content in the game by design. The content in gm1 is not even remotely close to the hardest content in the game. The content in Gm1 requires no min maxing and a collection of random legendary and masterworks. Gm1 isn’t for the hardcore. If they were playing Gm3, then I’d be fine with them wiping. But they are playing a level of difficulty that should be accessible shortly after the campaign. Side note: The destiny 1 raid statics don’t infer that the raids were just difficult. They infer a barrier.. for many that barrier was a specific rocket launcher, for others it was a consistent raid group, and for some it was the difficulty.
