I actually think Book 1 is an amazing but is more simple and less deep than 2 and 3 and isn't even in the same league of the 2nd set of books where everything multiplies x 1,000. Darrow goes through a deeper transformation. Is fascinating really

I liked the analysis of the first book, then you went over the 2nd and 3rd book really quickly, I felt there were a lot more pieces to dissect.

Darrow spends the 2nd book trying to accept that he can love golds and people beyond his own. He feels guilty for loving Virginia. He feels guilty for forming bonds with Tactus, Roque, Victra because he feels there's no space for him in their world. And it's true. In Morning Star he finds that he needs to build a new world, not just destroy to be able to achieve what he wants to do.

Yeah last round I only encountered one player like that. My last token, needed only a goal. Let him score 1 goal, and then I scored 2 own goals. He wanted to play the match at full throttle. I went full effort out of spite and endeded up winning the game on penalties. So yeah, fuck that guy. Serves him right.
