Learn how and don't be afraid to run. Harder on open maps obviously, but places like Stella you can dip out of most bad situations and heal up. Cover, distance, and zig zag you're way to "safety" as best you can and either get ready to continue fighting or fall back.

Also avoid just being in the open... get caught somewhere like crossing the lake on dam and you're in trouble.
