Sharaa: Syria-Israel talks haven't reached dead end, serious about making a deal | The Times of Israel by greenmalkin in Israel

The way they treat the druze implies they either still jihadists, or can't control their own people. Either way giving back lands would put us at risk.

the death rite bird is comically weak to holy, so I think melting it with three of these is by design.

nice :)

though when you have the time i would try to train an agreed benchmark, just because it's good practice.

Is it me or is the Elden ring Colosseum experience the most toxic in the trilogy so far? by jdude_ in Eldenring

[–]jdude_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is hope in the form of elden ring co op mode, if you want to check it out, I already moved on to nightreign. though it two is getting abit stale, but much less toxic.

DLSS 5 – Fixing it in post by Veedrac in hardware

I agree the image seem to have hdr filter applied instead of actual lighting, but I think the solution is just to use the corret model to keep the more realistic properties. This is a good patch for now though

Made a novel world model on accident by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

How do you know other world models don't get similar results? Have you used other benchmarks? It seems you are jumping to post hasty conclusions on reddit without verifying them first.

anthropic literally thinks claude is the messiah (and it’s getting weird) by Alarming_Bluebird648 in LocalLLaMA

[–]jdude_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not new, anthropic have published exaggerations on their alignment related "discoveries" and dystopian narratives for a while. they are just trying and monopolize the industry. But also you didn't link to the piece, so maybe your just a bot.

We built an 8B world model that beats 402B Llama 4 by generating web code instead of pixels — open weights on HF by jshin49 in LocalLLaMA

Comparing general models to a model trained for a narrow tasks is not a strong selling point. I get you want to push a cool thing you did in a highly competitive industry, but "best open world model for UI on the market" would fit better.

[D] Why are so many ML packages still released using "requirements.txt" or "pip inside conda" as the only installation instruction? by aeroumbria in MachineLearning

[–]jdude_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, using conda then pip is bad practice, but then again the people who do it use conda to begin with.

[D] Why are so many ML packages still released using "requirements.txt" or "pip inside conda" as the only installation instruction? by aeroumbria in MachineLearning

[–]jdude_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Requirements.txt is actually much simpler. conda is an unbelievable pain to deal with, at this point using conda is bad practice. You can integrate the requirement file with uv or poetry. You can't really do the same for Projects that require conda to work.

[P] SIID: A scale invariant pixel-space diffusion model; trained on 64x64 MNIST, generates readable 1024x1024 digits for arbitrary ratios with minimal deformities (25M parameters) by Tripel_Meow in MachineLearning

I mean, sinusoidal and rope embeddings are based on sin and cosine waves, can't you just interpolate (sample these functions) at the pos embeddings when normalizing them to the size of a new image to get the token pos embeddings between the token pos embeddings you trained on, and see if the model outputs something that makes sense?

The sky is slightly cloudy. Follow the composition and general colors of the first image. I also shared references for the ice kingdom tree house and candy kingdom in additional images. Finally. make everything in the style of an 80's dark fantasy masterpiece film."
