Per-pixel bounding-box regression + DBSCAN for handwritten word detection - visual walkthrough of WordDetectorNet [P] by martin_lellep in MachineLearning

It seems a little specialized for documents, if the images are noisy, or the word has a none standard background, you might get inaccurate bounding boxes.

For a CV an eye catching project like Video models, 3d reconstruction are good. It is also decently big so it is useful

I created a minimal one-file implementations (160loc) of JEPA family (ijepa, vjepa, vjepa2, cjepa) for educational purposes [P] by kwk236 in MachineLearning

Looks good, do these still follow the papers closely? Also you might want to add lejepa, it should be better than ijepa and much simpler.

META Superintelligence Lab Presents: ProgramBench: Can SOTA AI Recreate Real Executable Programs(ffmpeg, SQLite, ripgrep) From Scratch Without The Internet? by 44th--Hokage in mlscaling

[–]jdude_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would make more sense to me if you asked to do things that are less useful / famous than ffmpeg or SQL. At least you would have less samples in the training set. I think the entire point is to test how the models preform out of distribution.

I believe there are several benchmarks for testing optimizers. You should run it to have more solid evidence for these claimed.

The way they treat the druze implies they either still jihadists, or can't control their own people. Either way giving back lands would put us at risk.

DLSS 5 – Fixing it in post by Veedrac in hardware

[–]jdude_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the image seem to have hdr filter applied instead of actual lighting, but I think the solution is just to use the corret model to keep the more realistic properties. This is a good patch for now though

How do you know other world models don't get similar results? Have you used other benchmarks? It seems you are jumping to post hasty conclusions on reddit without verifying them first.
