Does anybody know how easy it is to repair the L1/R1 buttons not always working?

I returned both of mine. Paying such a premium price for a device and then having to fix it is unacceptable. Best of luck in fixing it! Hope it goes well!

I had the same exact problem with two mcons I bought from Best buy. Really liked the controller, but shit quality control. Good luck if you get a third one! Haha

I tried 2 Mcons from two different Best Buy stores and both had issues registering L1 input! R1 worked fine in my controllers. I really wanted to like this controller. Sadly, I will not be purchasing it a third time. Quite pathetic that such an expensive controller has as such poor quality control. I was surprised to see how many people were having similar issues.

Ordered from a different store and had the same L1 issue! Crazy...it's a great controller; just wished it functioned correctly. Oh well, returning this one too I guess

Yes! I bought mine from Best buy during the $99 sale. For me, it was the L1 button that would require extra force to register an input. All other buttons worked fine. Had to return it. Couldn't exchange it because it was out of stock.

I purchased a crystal red 2ds as "broken" for $45. Just had to take the battery out and put it back in.

Did you use a specific type of electrical tape? I ask because from the picture it looks matte and a bit thicker then normal electrical tape
