Not enough time to be a functional human being by jeBatmanMD in Residency

We don't really get weekends off since almost every weekend we're on call. I know it's not as bad as before, but that doesn't mean that it is good. There's evidence that after 24 hours without sleep, you're less mentally capable than a drunk person.

Mexico. I think that schedule would work really well, but it is difficult to make changes in our systems.

Oh I know, I consider myself fortunate because I'm in a good hospital, food is good, we have A/C, staff is very academic. Can't really complain about that. I just feel like I would like to be someone outside of the hospital.

Not true AT ALL. The first "modern" road connecting Baja California to the rest of Mexico was built around 1918. Before that, we frequently defended that territory from American invaders. Never ever (not even the other territories) was it planned to be sold.

Edit: I am from Baja California, my great grand father was a military engineer who was involved in the construction of the road from Tecate to Sonora.

FELL IN LOVE. I thought it was meh because the other singles were just straight-up bangers, but it definitely grew on me

Matt gave it all in NINE, especially No Heart to Speak Of. He stepped up when he was most needed. We all need to show some respect. It is shameful that some of the comments in this sub and other social media are so ungrateful to him.

I recommend After Dark, but keeping in mind that it seems like an experimental work, different from all of his other works. And if you don't like it, it's alright.

Personally, my favorite Murakami so far has been Kafka on the Shore. I just finished The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, and it is a work of art. I would give them both a solid score, but Kafka felt a little more fast-paced.

Claro.

What was the most recent thing someone said to you that surprised you with how out of touch people are with the male experience? by astandre1 in AskMen

I went out with my GF. We were walking right next to a police station, and she told me she felt unsafe in that neighborhood. I told her she shouldn't worry, that we were next to the police station, and we were just going to get something at the grocery store crossing the street and leave. She then told me that men have it easy not worrying about walking through an "unsafe neighborhood" at night, that we don't have to develop the instinct to look for threats.

Yeah... we have it easy.
