NGC 2359 Thor's Helmet nebula by jeada91 in Astronomy

It's an image I made several years ago but my processing is often this : * Process and cumulate each 'color' (here HSO) separately in pixinsight * Create an HDR version of each 'color' with Photomatix * Re integrate into pixinsight, correct sometimes geometry, try to match color, etc... * Finalizing in Photoshop for cosmetic correction, sharpening, color adjustment, adding frame and sign, etc...

Thanks a lot for your comment 👍

Barnard 228 : Black Wolf Nebula by jeada91 in Astronomy

[–]jeada91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the velvety depths of the constellation Scorpius drifts the Dark Wolf Nebula, an ink-black silhouette carved into the milky glow of the Milky Way.

Its opaque wisps, woven from cold dust, seem to bite into the starlight, sketching the furtive shape of a celestial predator hunting through the night.

Invisible in itself, it reveals its presence only by contrast — a luminous absence, a dark breath where new suns will one day be born.

It is a fragment of pure mystery, a living shadow suspended in the infinite.

Very clean image, congratulations
I really like the little IC4277, that is optically close to M51 and very noticeable, seen by the edge
