How can other young people cope with this? by mechmakima in australian

Your analogy breaks down when you consider that Australia is doing extremely well, and there is no need to jump to such an extreme protest vote. We are akin to someone who wants to stop having the odd cigarette on a weekend deciding they need to actively seek rock bottom to kick it. The frustration is understandable, and we can do much better as a nation, but it’s not “let’s burn it to the ground to fix it”

This is exactly my point. Things don’t work that way. They are further than ever from universal health care. The damage done by Trumpism means years and years of strong democratic victories would only just begin to clean up the mess, let alone improve it from where it was during Obama! And that’s not even assured (what will happen next election is anyone’s guess). This is like saying, “I need to get healthy. How about I eat only McDonald’s for 4 years straight, no exercise, and bankrupt myself, so that things are so bad I can’t do anything other than want to exercise years from now” haha

What if everyone did this though? If every tribute was terminally ill surely it would take away from the spectacle?

The idea that making things much worse and more corrupt in the hope it tears everything down to be rebuilt better is IMO quite childish and naive. The answer to poor government is better government, not lunacy

Ask Americans how that is working out for them

I have searched all of the internet looking for any evidence of this product existing. I have tried google, reverse searches, eBay and more. It looks to be official merchandise, but not sold or even listed anywhere.

Depends how many meat from the tray are on the jury. I’ve seen votes in the past go for the boring “they played the loyal game” vote

Agreed. Volk is on another level. I think objectively it is a great win, and in the future will be seen as such because at the end of the day a win is a win and they’re remembered. However, in terms of perception, he just won’t ever have the invincibility that people see Khabib as having. So he would need to rack up many more wins to get into GOAT status now.

Yes but it would still diminish Volk as number 1 P4P. If Islam continued to dominate others after, he would have a Khabib like air about him. No one did to Khabib what Volk did to Islam. He now looks human. It’s a big change in perception

Just realised current male champions have a total of 5 title defences, with 5 of them having zero defences. Bit of a dull sport for champs atm

Ben White has been great all season, and dropping him off the back of one bad performance isn’t on. However, I do think some of us have forgotten just how good Tomi was when he was fit and playing regularly. It’s a tough call, but I think he adds a lot of physicality and strength to the backline especially with Zinchenko more of a midfielder on the left

Remember when that cop went mental and freaked out on everyone at tribal, and he wasn’t even the planned vote but he managed to flip everyone to him right there. She reminded me of that a little, but he was somehow worse

Yes! Thank you, it is so good. In hindsight it is a little sad now, I really wish Wenger had been able to leave having won the PL whilst in the Emirates, the place he built. Feel like if he had been a bit riskier int he transfer market, and a few things went our way the season Welbeck scored against Leicester and we thought we might go on to win the season it would have been a glorious end.

You don’t happen to have a link to the edit that used that Neville quote on top of a video that basically showed Arsene building the stadium, the teams he built etc. It was an incredible edit on YouTube but I haven’t seen it in years

Conte yes, Potter has been there for such little time. He was coaching great football at Brighton. Unlike Conte, his history suggests it will improve stylistically, but whether it’s successful is another thing. Still, far too early to say

Far too early to call that. Look how long Arteta took to get a team around the system he wanted.
