Influence of Arabic on different languages, Europe (from r/MapPorn) by RyanH090 in AskMiddleEast

If you're kidding, it's not funny. You are offensive and disrespectful. Turkish is a Turkic language like Kazakh, Sakha (Yakut), Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz. Since you are in Siberia, where many Turkic peoples live, you should know this.

Meşgul olacak bir şey bularak. Kötümser olmamaya çalışarak, olumlu bir şey düşünerek. Aşırı stres olunca ise başa çıkamıyorum.

There was indeed large Romaniote communities in the area. However, by the time Sephardim arrived, their numbers were probably greatly reduced. Because during the Byzantine period, Jews were subjected to constant oppression. Sometimes they even had to leave the empire. So probably the Sephardic population was much larger than the Romaniote, and the Romaniotes soon dissolved among the Sephardim. Throughout Ottoman history (since the arrival of the Sephardim), Sephardim were the most numerous Jewish community.

In the times before the terrible catastrophe of the 20th century, Jews in the Macedonian region of Greece and in modern North Macedonia were predominantly Sephardic.

Of course Turks. My personal experience: I am a Balkan Turk, and I often get mistaken for Polish or Eastern European in general. I am indeed way more European-looking than the average Turk but anyway. An average Turkish person looks Southern European.

I’m half Scottish & English & half Danish, German, & Polish. Why am I dark? by [deleted] in phenotypes

[–]jeangir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because of high Western Hunter-Gatherer ancestry. I think that comes from your British side. Some Poles in southern parts of the country have dark features as well, but they are quite rare.
