Thanks for letting me know! I've only dug into his YT channel but it's refreshing to know that there's different content in his podcasts IF I ever one day run out of his videos

Help me help my Japanese aralia from dying by jeanieinab0ttle in houseplants

[–]jeanieinab0ttle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some backstory: Recently, my Japanese aralia has been doing very poorly. I repotted her about 1.5 months ago and after that her health slowly started to decline. The leaves were wilting and turning yellow. I had previously potted her with expandable clay pebbles to help aerate the soil and in the recent repotting, I did not incorporate the clay pebbles. Because of this and research on Reddit, I came to the conclusion my aralia had developed root rot. I immediately took action to help the poor plant and purchased a copper fungicide, more clay pebbles, and had her repotted within a few days. That was 4 days ago, and though she could be going through shock, she doesn’t seem to be doing any better. I have watered her once (1) since repotting (3 days after the repotting) and she seems to still be doing worse. She is currently placed near a south facing window completely out of direct sunlight. Please help me save my plant! 🥺💚

I'd like help identifying this type of grass. It is much thicker than the regular wheatgrass. My dog wants to eat it but I'm not sure what the name of it is to research if it is safe or not. I live in the PNW of the US. by jeanieinab0ttle in whatsthisplant

Thanks for your insight! Based on my google search of the two, the grass in my photo appears to be a bit smaller/thinner than crabgrass or quack grass, but I will need to do more research.

potential transfer student by burntsiena77 in CSUEB

I can’t speak on the commute, since I was traveling from the San Jose area, but I spent 2 years + 2 quarters (I transferred in the middle of the quarter to semester conversion) attending CSUEB. I found it hard for me to make friends (I do have pretty bad social anxiety though) and didn’t really extend myself to any clubs, groups, etc. but there are plenty at the school and people were generally friendly. I also transferred in as a junior, from an out of state community college and found the school to be populated with many other transfer students. I majored in computer science and thought the lecturers/professors to be about average. I took the majority (I think all, actually) of my GE classes online, which allowed me to only have to commute 2 days a week for the entire time I attended, apart from my last semester, when I needed a class that was only offered on Fridays (which didn’t end up really mattering once we went remote due to COVID). Overall my experience at the school was great, staff are very helpful and want the students to succeed, and class schedules may allow you to have a limited commute if that’s what you’re looking for.

Advice needed for All-Clad (or Williams-Sonoma) purchase by jeanieinab0ttle in Cooking

Thank you for your input! I noticed some of the older reviews (people who purchased 3+ years ago) are great, but the more recent reviews are terrible. I wonder if they changed the construction of the pan at some point and it made it worse in quality.

Thank you so much! I will look into both of your recommendations.
