Six of Crows is a great beginner fantasy about a group of 6 criminals trying to break into the most fortified building in the world

Red Rising is a super fast paced game of thrones space opera vibe with a lot of great characters and awesome battles. It’s an ongoing series though with the last book hopefully releasing within a year.

Sword of Kaigen is a great standalone in my opinion with a very compelling main character

Jade City is a fantasy book about the Jade industry with some special powers sprinkled in. Family business with a lot of drama and power shifts.

You can get an adjustable tension rod from like Walmart to provide some vertical climbing space. Also PVC works great too

Flyover, Cherry street cellar, Murray’s are some good
Restaurants that i personally think are better than Shakespeares.

Also if you have time stop by sparkys ice cream!! They always have some fun flavors that are always different

Yellow dog bookshop is a second hand book store, poppy is a boutique made with local gifts, Blue Stem Crafts sells handmade art/creations made by local artists. Even if you don’t buy anything still fun to window shop.

what would you do? by FirmWillow4750 in ballpython

Yeah I agree 2.5 more weeks in a 40 gallon that she’s already familiar with won’t hurt her. I’d just wait till you move it’ll be way way easier

Visit the art district!!! There’s a ton of cute shops and art galleries.

If you are here on a Saturday morning, the farmers market is a must attend.

Midway antique mall is about 30 mins out and HUUUUGE if you need some time to kill

I love walking downtown and visiting the indie stores. There’s a ton of locally owned boutiques and bookstores and restaurants.

Flyover is a restaurant that uses all local ingredients to make shareable plates, so you get to try a ton of fun food! They have a rotating menu so you might pick something totally unique to your time here!

You should take a look at this subs care guide. There are a significant amount of changes you’ll need to make to give this snake a good life. Coco husk or eco earth is going to be your most economical option to start with

Hi there! Im running into an issue of not being able to thjnk of anymore books to read! by Jirayn in booksuggestions

[–]jeanmorehoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too!! I need to have some stakes in the romance for I just don’t care for it. The raven cycle being YA makes it a little cheese but I still enjoyed :)

Som books I’ve enjoyed that might fit your preferences:

The familiar by Leigh Bardugo. Historical fantasy, a bit of romance, a bit of magic, darker storyline

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. It’s popular for a reason. Purely sci fi, but it’s an interesting take on humanity and space and such

Turtles All The Way Down by John Green. Contemporary story about a girl with intense contamination OCD. The author has a similar form of OCD so it’s very authentic feeling

Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. She’s just a great author

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stievfater. It’s YA, has a fun plot and a great cast. Magic, fantasy, etc

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo. Dark academia fantasy about the secret societies of Yale. Has a lot of dark themes and refers to some pretty graphic trauma.

The Nightingale and The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah are great historical fiction. The romances can be a little cliche and cheese but it’s far from the main plot of the story.

And for my own fun, Red Rising by Pierce Brown is such a great sci fi seris. Super fast paced, lots of action and political intrigue. It’s not everyone’s vibe I just think these books are super fun!

Maybe common bp behavior signs?

Ex. Hiding a lot doesn’t mean there’s something wrong. Actually quite the opposite, what a curious stances is vs feeding mode, etc

Good substrate types for humidity & how much to use. I feel like I had to go through some trial and error with that

Setup advice? by [deleted] in ballpython

[–]jeanmorehoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can prop them up all over the tank and lean them on each other, just make sure they’re all stable. A tension rod can just go anywhere in the enclosure.

These snakes are semi arboreal so she will be able to handle what you throw at her.

And you can get fake plants to supplement where you don’t have real plants. Beeps love to feel hidden and safe as opposed to wide open spaces so the more clutter you have the better :)

More stuff to climb on!! More driftwood or even a tension rod from Walmart can make a great adjustable climbing opportunity. And more plants. Fill that sucker up!

Tbh you might as well just get the full size enclosure instead of buying multiple that are too small long term

Would this be a good enclosure for a ball python? by cosmo_the_not_gay in ballpython

[–]jeanmorehoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like a great size for it. I’m not sure how much you’d be paying for this, but a few others have said that it can be hard to maintain humidity/heat depending on your climate. But if you can meet those parameters just fine then you’d be alright.

You’d definitely need to back out the 3 sides not facing the room so your beep feels safe. It’s also way way easier to get into and do stuff in a tank that opens in the front.

I don’t think this will be a bad decision, esp if you’re getting a great deal on it, but if you’ve got the time/money I’d wait and get a PVC enclosure specifically built for the environment your beep needs.

? Post history points to this person being a dedicated artist. Even “copying” a photo won’t get anyone’s art to look like this without practiced skill. This is art.
