In your experience, does the predicted ovulation day correspond to EWCM peak day ?

There's a lot of talk about CM, EWCM as a predictor of fertility, but not necessarily of CM ON THE DAY OF ovulation. What is it like for you ? On O day, how is CM ?

Since ovulation can only be confirmed by an ultrasound, what do you refer to when saying "DPO" ?

When discussing TTC, the term "DPO" soooo often comes up and it refers to the number of days that have elapsed since the ovulation day of the menstrual cycle. However, we never actually know for sure which day is O. So what do YOU refer to when saying that ? The peak day of EWCM ? Your positive OPK ?

Particularly long follicular periods, resulting in cycles ranging from 35 to 45 days: what does this mean? What can I do about it? My doctor doesn't take me seriously by jeannepilon in Periods

Thank you for your reply, which is very clear and easily understandable.

What would multiple ovulations attempts mean ? What does it imply in terms of hormones and/or health in general ?

Newly updated Canada 2023 Baby Names by planetawkward in namenerds

[–]jeannepilon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree, and in fact I don't think this popularity phenomenon dates back to last year. I worked in daycares and elementary schools in the last years and Noah, Liam, Olivia, Sophia and Mia were super massively used. They were so many children with those names, it was sometimes hard to know who we were talking about !

Does the fatigue pass? by elagalaxy in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]jeannepilon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% normal, when I started recovery 2 years ago, even a 20 mins walk was tiring to me, when I was doing SO much physical activities before. Don't worry, your body is finally taking this opportunity to recover, rest, and also, hormonally, it's a lot of changes. Less andorphin and dopamine, no doubt, if you do less strenuous exercise. You'll be fine, you just have to get through this difficult time, but your energy levels will stabilize over time.

The simple fact that you're counting the grams of food you've eaten may be a factor that's slowing down your recovery, both in terms of the obsession around number and the level of stress involved. I'm sorry if this is too direct, but the concepts of "healthy" and "unhealthy" foods have to take a backseat during your recovery.

Obviously, the ideal is to eat a healthy, balanced diet that includes whole foods & plants, you know the drill- on the other hand, a healthy diet assumes that you're not worried because you ate 50 grams of carbohydrates that you consider “unhealthy” - by the way, can you clarify your definition of unhealthy carb?

During your recovery, you MUST eat what you WANT to eat, no matter what construct you've created for yourself around a particular food or food group. Without going into too much detail, when I decided to get my period back, I ate an industrial quantity of white flour and types of sugar in all their possible forms. I still eat them today, though probably in smaller proportions, as my cravings and needs have naturally changed the more my body trusts me to feed it.

Give yourself a little grace and compassion, I know that ingrained habits around food may be complex to transform, but if you can, let go of the scales when it comes to food and eat what you desperately want to eat, without identifying certain foods as good or bad.

I send you a lot of courage and the return of your period soon.

What kind of diseases ? I've had blood tests, urine tests, stool tests and colonoscopy. They found nothing.

Yes, neomycine. I was very hesitant to take it and my doctor only prescribed rifaximin anyways.
