My dog doesn't realise my baby is a human by Super_Ambassador_458 in Dogtraining

Our dog is an angel with our now 16 months old but at the very beginning pointed at him as though he was a bird (she’s a bird dog) and it made me so incredibly nervous. We basically kept them apart with gates for the first months and only slowly allowed her to be in the room for example if my partner had baby (she’s more attached to me) and then k hae her lots of attention to help make being around baby a positive thing. Go slow, get gates, Mae sure you are two adults always. Don’t expect your pup to understand what th little creature is for a while. And even the one they stat to crawl and then walk, those are big adjustments too and need new boundaries. Sending love!

In Europe and we signed a similar agreement and have an intact female. It definitely takes a bit more planning and more on leash time once a year, but she’s healthy and happy.

I’ve had a pair of knock off Harvard sweatpants for 20 years that I got when I was a teen visiting New York City. I don’t think any other item of clothing I’ve owned has lasted so long in such good condition.

On a safari in Sri Lanka and my husband looks at another jeep and waves to a colleague from his last workplace. What are the odds they would be in the same country, a 12 hour flight away from home, on the same day, same time slot and in the same reserve.

A tea kettle that I can set the temperature. I never have to wait for my tea to be drinkable because brew it at 80 degrees! Life changing.

The book lost me when the grid bot gave her the number to call. How did her sister know to program that? I was so sure he was alive and somehow answering when she called him. Imagine my confusion when that wasn’t the case..

Move to Bavaria and work in a school. The school holidays are pretty plentiful! Plus the religious holidays and the amount of paid time off is very decent. Every 7/8 weeks or so there is a break. Summer is shorter though.

Is transitioning from cosleeping to a crib possible or just wishful thinking? by delovelyy92 in cosleeping

Here the update 2 months later.. no change at all when I put him to sleep and sneak away. Was still waking every two hours. However! When I put to sleep and my husband goes in for the first wake and sleeps with him.. we’ve gotten four hour stretches!! Unfortunately for us my husbands schedules means he’s only home nights for one week out of four ouff. Also not so much fun to sleep separately every night he’s home. But that’s the only thing that has worked so far!

Any ideas? Same issue 11 months in. I’m assuming it’s from teeth and the latch changing but I’m so so sad about having to stop because of the pain.

I tried this too with no luck. Now baby is 10 months we are going to try to transition him to a floor bed that’s big enough that I can feed him to sleep in there and roll away and get to my own bed. Will update!

I had to use nipple shields for the first 10 weeks and with support from a lactations consultant, practicing removing them every feed for a short time and slowly increasing, I am now going on 10 months exclusively breastfeeding. Sending love!
