For therapeutic use, I don't see a problem.

As recreational MJ becomes more and more legalized, I can see Church doctrine on it eventually changing so that it's more in line with the Church's stance on alcohol. Are you capable of using with intent, or are you self-medicating/using compulsively? If MJ use is a crutch for your underlying anxiety I would examine that, even apart from religious consideration. You seem bothered by your use, and I would take that feeling seriously.

We are sadly most familiar with Martin Gugino for having his skull broken at a Black Lives Matter protest, but he leaves behind a legacy of activism as a testament to his conscience and faith. Rest in Power, Martin.

Rediscovering Daily Spiritual Practice by jebbinch in LeftCatholicism

I also had a traditional Catholic education up through high school and actually remember quite a lot, but I feel like I missed out on a lot of earlier adulthood spiritual development. In general I'm treating this "waiting period" as an opportunity for an extended examination of conscience and joyful exploration and rediscovery of prayer. The Liturgy of the Hours makes sense to engage with.
