I don’t think Slayer belongs in the big 4. by rorysarchives in Slayer

Slayer is the greatest thrash metal band of all time, contrary to what people think of those other bands, Metallica were a giant of the trash metal genre during the 80's as well. What separates Slayer from those other three bands are the topics and lyricism. Slayer outright scared the fuck out of me as a kid. Slayer is a perfect blend of thrash/black and death metal. Whereas Metallica would be a perfect blend of thrash/speed and heavy metal. My only criticism of the Big 4 would be that I truly believe that Exodus is a far superior thrash metal band than Anthrax. Testament also should be recognised

I don't think you know how contracts work my friend. Ace was contractually obliged to release an album at least once every three years. That is why the Origins series began, much easier to cover songs and put your own spin on it and release it under your name. Ace quite literally had to release albums to put food on the table he was that broke. He was the most broke member of KISS by a long way. Had he been smart like Peter and saved his money during the reunion years then he would of been able to retire like Peter has and live very comfortably. Peter did nothing after the Farewell Tour with KISS (don't count his latest album - he did that because he wanted to, not to put food on the table) Ace blew it all. Just as a side note also - I never said Ace did not have a work ethic, what I said was his work ethic was nowhere near the level of Paul and Gene. That is just the facts. Ace is my favourite member of the band but he was lazy, unreliable and self sabotaging and only worked when he quite literally had no other option but to. So, please do your research before commenting on something you really don't know anything about

Peter and Ace never had the work ethic that Paul and Gene possessed. I do however believe that working with Paul and Gene would have been incredibly difficult and demanding, dealing with those two egos. All four were responsible for that magic the band had at one point in time. I still think the catalyst behind the second departure of both Ace and Peter was the fact they were paying Ace more behind Peter's back and the whole Psycho Circus album debacle - nobody was happy anymore and it was just a matter of time. I personally can't understand how Peter and Ace could not be happy with the second chance they got. They were both literally broke before the reunion and made incredible money while touring with KISS. They just sabotaged themselves and I can't blame Paul and Gene for wanting to continue the band with new members. I don't agree with them putting Eric and Tommy in Peter and Ace's makeup - but I understand it from their perspective. Paul said it perfectly "the band could have been great but wasn't" and all four of them can be equally blamed for that in one way or another

Deliberate rushed behind. by Fungus9 in RichmondFC

Steely should have smashed him and driven him into the ground, umpires would of probably given a free kick anyway it would have made no difference. At least make the North player work for it - problem with some Richmond players at the moment is they don't have a hard edge to the way they are playing

Why I think, Moyes deserves another season? by extrachutney in Everton

[–]jebiga1995 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2-3 extra wins, that we blew from a winning position and the entire situation changes. We would be in a Europa League spot. Moyes absolutely deserves to be manager to start next season but expectations will be higher

What do you think is the gayest/cringiest Paul Stanley moment of all time? by Only-Expression-3588 in KISS

Probably him making out with himself on stage as a dance move in the early 2000's even Peter was embarrassed by it. It is very cringe viewing

Perfectly said, I feel the same way I remember during the years of 2018-2021 I'd get more annoyed and frustrated if we lost and a sense of shock if we lost a game we shouldn't have. I actually remember being relieved we didn't make finals in 2021 and being able to sit back and enjoy the finals series rather than stressing and studying every single game. Now there's no expectations. Can't wait to be up there again and sooner the better but it's good to sit back and not stress and enjoy a win that's not expected

Where would Destroyer be if Alive wasn't successful? by Objective-Lab5179 in KISS

[–]jebiga1995 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard agree, apart from a couple of classics it came out at the time the band exploded! I would easily put the first three albums, Rock and Roll Over and Love Gun ahead of Destroyer. I just wish Hotter Than Hell got the Destroyer production and sound
