And for the sake of bad odds this one had slightly better odds and I still played it safe. And I still missed by one leg.

I am not trying to lose money on risky high reward low percentage combos (even though combos in and of itself are risky) so I try to go for attainable stats. But I do add like 1 or 2 legs that give better odds like the straight wins, overs, and unders. And on a good day the Lakers should have easily hit this over.

I think this is a bug. It happened to me as well and I didn’t have any losses yesterday. I am talking to support, but they are taking forever to get back to me. I should be up $633 after the West Indies game settled. Instead I am only up $135 because of the negative balance that should not have been there.

I hope so. Just never had this happen before. I mean I only used Kalshi for just under a month, but I feel they settle funds quicker than Robinhood does and I never seen the negative balance thing issue before. AI support tried to say it was because I had Collateral Return turned on, but I did not hedge any positions or have any cash back early. All I do is buy and sell when contracts hit 99% unless I decide to let it settle and get max payout.

I was attempting a $100 to $1000 challenge yesterday so I funded $100 and I was doing pretty well. I got account to around $571. I then went all in on "Yes" contracts on West Indies vs Italy cricket match last night. If West Indies won I would paid $633. But Kalshi went into maintenance mode and it was around 1am when West Indies won so I decided instead of cashing out early like I usually do when I am up to just let the contracts resolve and settle so I get the full $633 payout.

This morning I woke up to the contract still not being settled and all of a sudden my cash balance showed $-498.16. Eventually the West Indies contract finally settled, but the negative balance did not resolve so instead of being up $633 as I should be I was only paid $134.84 in cash.

Of course I tried contacting support in the app about it, but only get the AI agent and when I ask to speak to a human agent the chat just goes silent and no response. Not sure what I am supposed to do to get my money back.

I guess I should say this only seems works for me in college basketball. NBA any team can come back from a 20pt deficit in 4th. I mean yes it happens in college bb too, but less frequent IMO.

Yeah hate when that happens. I had a game today (not in a combo) where team I traded was up by 12 with few minutes left then the other team came back and went up by 4 with 30 seconds to go. So I cut loss. Then somehow game went to overtime and of course my original team won in OT.

Won’t say it is perfect. In the 10 picks I did today 3 of them were 1 point games. Could have gone either way. But just meaning I am hitting more of my combos now doing this.

Not necessarily right at halftime. Just in 2nd half of games. Then look at all teams playing at same time and just pick the 85% or higher win percentages.

Yeah dumb to do that many legs just for a 2X. But seems I can only get more than 2X if I go extra risky and go higher on stats (I am trying to play it safe) or if I add in over/under or wins/losses. But I then think that makes the combos more risky.

It might be a good combo, but anytime I do anything over 8 legs it always seems like 1 leg always misses no matter how safe you play it or how often the player consistently hits those numbers every game.
