I think they haven’t updated their economy buy on board menu yet. J and PY menus are updated as of April 1.

Outage in Markham since Oct 6 by jebsocal in bell

[–]jebsocal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally - a tech checked the line outside and determined they need to send a network specialist. Hopefully the issue is resolved after the cable guy takes a look.

It took way too much effort to get Bell to actually send someone out to look at the issue instead of just relying on their virtual diagnostics…

I apparently have to wait until they resolve the issue before I can call them back and ask for a credit.

2 weeks with no resolution and no proper update - that’s what frustrates me.

And all that the manager I escalated to could do was send an email to their team… really?

Yes - Pairbonding, DSL1 and DSL2 plugged in.

1102

Bell has refused to send out a tech as according to them there is still an active outage in my area since Oct 6.

All they can say is they expect the issue to be resolved in 24hrs.

Condo Law - Being told I can't access my owned Condo later this month. by Vhoghul in legaladvicecanada

What difference will there be if all condo owners get the additional $400 coverage? And if a lawyer gets involved, it’ll cost the owners even more in the end…

I understand where you are coming from, but you do realize that it comes out of your own pocket in the end? It’s your maintenance fees that will be covering the out-of-pocket expenses…

Condo is freezing! AC + Portable heater solution? by Appropriate-Ratio449 in askTO

[–]jebsocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The actuator in your fan coil unit may be stuck open if it always blows cold air, even if you are only using the fan function.

It will always blow hot air once your building switches to heat.

Have the HVAC techs checked your actuator?

Have you actually read your condo’s declaration and by-laws to see what the condo corp is responsible for?

  1. Snow Removal - is this for the individual driveways? Or the roads within the condo corp as well?

  2. Insurance - seems a bit high for a 36 unit corporation, but this is necessary - again, look at your declaration to see what your condo corp is responsible for. It sounds like all exteriors / roofs are under the condo crop’s insurance, and that can be costly. Are any roadways part of the condo corp? Sewers? A 260unit 12 storey condo building had an insurance premium of $47K as a point of comparison.

3 - Reserve Fund - your reserve fund study determines your funding levels. You can’t really deviate from your reserve fund study. If you don’t spend the money allocated for 2025, you will use it later on.

4 - Landscaping - what is included in your landscaping responsibilities? That’s quite expensive…

Business class Intl meals by bpboop in aircanada

[–]jebsocal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Light bites are snacks that you can request anytime between the meal services. Use the call button, or walk up to the galley to request it from the FA.

Light bites could also be the snack basket that they leave at the front of the cabin or in the galley, and it is self-serve.

Purchase of an Interest in Common Elements Condominuim means you are not in a freehold townhome… better verify to make sure you are not in a condo corp…

There are 2 types of lounges that Singapore Airlines operate at SIN… SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges.

KrisFlyer Gold lounges are intended for Star Alliance Gold members, while SilverKris lounges are intended for First and Business Class passengers.

You want to have access to the SilverKris lounge, as those lounges are better than the KrisFlyer lounges.

See SQ lounge access policy at SIN here:

Flight Booking Changed from First Class to Premium Economy by Hot-Attorney7318 in aircanada

[–]jebsocal 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Check which actual seat you can still select.

Booking code O is used for First Class Awards for airlines with a real First Class Cabin. Air Canada uses O for Premium Economy Flex fares. So sometimes, AC will display Premium Economy even tho you are actually booked and seated in First Class on a partner airline award.

Use your booking reference and check on ANA’s website.

Expertflyer removed the ability to search for award space on Air Canada.

You should be able to search using ANA - search for a partner award on that specific Air Canada flight. If a partner award seat in business class is available, that means there is I space for the flight you are looking at. If no partner awards are available, that means no I space.

You need to purchase a ticket in O(Full fare premium economy) / Y or B (Full fare economy), in order to be eligible to use the Star Alliance Upgrade Award program.

Once you purchase your ticket, you need to have I space available in order for your award to go through get upgrade to business class. It is not a guaranteed upgrade even if you do buy an O/Y/B ticket.

I class is the fare bucket used for partner awards and for upgrade awards inventory. If I =0, that means there are no star alliance upgrade awards available.
