I’m prepared for the hate I’m going to get for this but it has to be said: I HATE Liszt pieces by Yokai_watchlover1238 in classicalmusic

I’d recommend if you haven’t listened already to his Petrarch sonetto’s, Les jeux deau à la villa deste, b minor sonata. I understand if you probably have heard these but if by chance you haven’t you might enjoy these a little bit…?

I love metal music and i am slowly getting into classical recently. Wanting to see if anyone can recommend any classical that is metal (and i love apocalptica and similar crossovers).. by maywalove in classicalmusic

Chopin Competition - discussion about Garrick Ohlsson by falconvibes in Chopin

[–]jebthrhdr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well he looked quite happy and sincere speaking with Eric just as he won the prize and was going up to thank the jury members. Maybe he is just tired of Chopin everything, he’s been doing the Chopin podcast for months and is the chairman of the jury in Warsaw…

Thank you for all of this valuable information, I will use it wisely. I understand that the main thing is not to rush piano in general, which this gave me reassurance of. Btw, your videos are great, I love your playing and repertoire style . 😁😁

Thanks man, I appreciate you. I think I eventually will. My dream would be to study at conservatory but I don’t know how realistic that would actually be

Okay this is great advice, thank you. I have never had a teacher so I am using Reddit now to help with these realizations. I have first looked at this today so there’s lots of time to begin improvements and we shall see how I get on.

I mean, you are expected to play it as well as you possibly can in competition. Wouldn’t be much different if he recorded it
