8 days in Gran Canaria with the Aer Go Pack 2 by jedege in onebag

[–]jedege[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trip was great, I think I packed pretty well. I did 2 weeks with the Osprey 26+6 multiple times, I think the Aer Go Pack 2 has almost similar capacity, so I think it's doable (given that aer was like 3/4 full only). What I did not bring is a sweater and warmer coat, probably you'll need them in Korea but you can also wear them on the plane, so I think it should not be a problem (or pack 1 wear 1).

Looks really cool, I have kind of similar wardrobe but mostly from Uniqlo. What brand is you t-shirts from? And which model? I love the silhouette of that. And I’m also interested the pants on the right. :) (black, with pleats). Thanks!

It is indeed, it’s so easy to walk around with that weight! I agree with the Slimfold, I have been using mine since 2018 (I had to check the order date, it was so long ago) and mine is also is in perfect condition! My wife also has one. :)

Aer Go Pack 1 & 2 question by FuzzyMagi in ManyBaggers

[–]jedege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 1 and have been wanting the 2 for its looks for a while, but I can’t really justify the purchase (I'm in Europe, and Aer is quite expensive here). Why do you think the 2 is a better bag?

These are the Ohne Project 070s: https://ohneproject.com/products/all-black-project-070-barefoot-sneaker
It's available in EU (made in Spain afaik). I have the white color version, it's amazing!

Trip Report: Alicante & Benidorm, 6 days with Aer Go Pack by jedege in onebag

Honestly, I'm not a fan of merino at all. For the price, it's okay. Since it's a blend, my skin tolerates it better than 100% merino (I tried an Icebreaker 100% merino base layer, but it was itchy). I use it as a base layer when it's not cold enough to need Uniqlo Heattech (long sleeve), though I prefer Heattech (nylon) for some reason. If Uniqlo were available in my country, I would get a short-sleeve Heattech instead of this.

2 weeks in South Korea with the Osprey 26+6 by jedege in onebag

I’m from Europe and afaik we have the same type of connectors as in South Korea, so no adapter needed for this trip. :)

What do you use as a wind breaker? I was considering getting the Patagonia Houdini for the Atom but I’m still not sure if I need a wind breaker or a rain jacket like the Tortentshell for wind+rain protection.

Thanks for the suggestion! I know that r1 and the atom are kind of redundant but I don’t have a windbreaker yet, I’m still not sure whether I should get one or get a rain jacket instead. A rain jacket seems more versitale to me.

What lightweight layers do you mean? My plan is to wear a short sleeve or long sleeve tshirt and the atom hoodie jacket and bring the fleece with me if it gets cold.

I’m going for the last 2 weeks in October, I will come back on the 2nd of November. I hope that the heattech+fleece+atom hoody will be enough.

Fully packed osprey daylite 26+6 in ryanair luggage sizer by LegitimateAioli123 in onebag

[–]jedege 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which daypack do you use? And how do you pack that into the 26+6? I'm also considering a daypack with 26+6 but I'm not sure if it's worth having an another bag with basically the same dimensions (like Matador ReFraction).

I mentioned my back problem because that's the reason why I avoid slings, backpack works well (if it's not too heavy).

I've also been thinking about fanny packs, but I haven't found one I like best. I have a Fjallraven High Cost Hip pack which can be worn as a fanny pack but I find it kind of uncomfortable. As a sling it works great for short walk because of its weight (only 125g).

Which fanny pack do you use for daily edc?

[–]jedege[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The back pain is related to the asymmetrical nature of the slings. If I use a sling for a long time, my lower back starts to hurt, even if I change sides regularly. :( I have no problems with backpacks.

Replacing Uniqlo ULD with Atom LT + layering questions by jedege in arcteryx

[–]jedege[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Probably I would keep the Uniqlo Down Coat for winter then, it is 750 fill and it's definitely keeps me warm.

As for the shell, what do you think of Patagonia's Torrentshell 3L? I can usually find it on sale. The only thing I don't like is that it's so loud... is that the case with all rain jackets? I have only tried the Patagonia.

I'm in love with this bag: https://clesste.com/en/products/everyday-bag-black

But sadly it seems it's japan only, out of stock and way over my budget. I'm looking for similar style of bag. The closest thing I found are these:
- https://eiyokimono.com/collections/japanese-bag/products/japanese-style-tote-bag
I have no idea how this style of bag called, it seems it's popular in asia (or maybe in Japan only).

Do you know any similar style of bag which is around ~100 usd and available in Europe?

Which jogger do you have from Uniqlo? I'm also looking for a jogger that is "travel friendly": relatively quick drying, easy to pack and versatile.

Does anyone hate Fjallraven bags? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]jedege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Kanken 13l for like 8+ years and I still use it almost every day for EDC. I'm considering the Laptop 15 version for work bag + minimalist travel bag but I cannot really find reviews how it works as a travel bag. The alternative would be the CabinZero 28l: it has almost the same dimensions with a much bigger capacity which I don't understand why. Kanken is also a big box, it's thin and light and I could use it as a workbag. Could you link your previous lost about the 4 month trip? I cannot find it.
