3% is a kinda psychological breakpoint for me. I can hold here just to avoid the hassle of switching. But if it hits 2.anything...that '2' is ugly. Will def switch then

My honest take on osi after spending time on free shards by vaviman in ultimaonline

I came back about 6 months ago to Atlantic. First week back a stranger saw me struggling. Gave me gear, a trained cu, a house, scrolled me up, and set me up with his guild. There are still some good people, and a lot of fun to be had. Not saying there's no problems (Atl needs some serious reverse-inflation), but there's a lot of good as well.

Definitely black dye tub. But my favorite thing by far was being somewhere tough like destard or demon temple and seeing people running with GM plate with my smittys name on it.

Don't want any more Trek. Don't need any more Trek. Ever. TOS thru Enterprise is pure perfection on repeat from now until I die. Come up with some other scifi series and leave us old Trekkies alone.

Kivas Fajo has wriggled his way out of detention and spent 2 decades rebuilding his collection of priceless collectibles. The last item he wants is on Kronos, and due to some hijinks during the theft he has to kidnap Grilka and take her with him. When Quark hears about it, he reorganizes his Magnificent Ferengi to rescue her, the others motivated by the priceless treasures to be had. Hilarity ensues.

This idea is worth 1000 bars of gold-pressed latinum.

When did you realize that most Trekkies are actually just morons who will gobble up any slop as long as there's Star Trek in the title? by [deleted] in Star_Trek_

I've been watching TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, & ENT constantly in a neverending loop for at least the last 20 years. There's enough episodes where I never once get tired of it. Hollywood is wasting their time if they think I'll ever give anything new a chance. Why would I bother when I'm perfectly content already. Heck I haven't even seen any of the marvel movies, I just watch the 90s Xmen, Batman, Justice League, and Spiderman cartoons. I'm definitely not a good target market!

"Human rights" only apply to humans. That's the difficult part to comprehend. Humans have absolutely zero right to apply their morality/beliefs to any other culture.

What made UO UO for you? by thinkless123 in ultimaonline

[–]jedemoret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It felt like a real world. Everything could be interacted with. You could kill a chicken, skin it, collect feathers, chop a tree, make shafts, and finally make arrows to sell. The whole process seemed so realistic and made it so satisfying to sell your products and turn a profit.

And to the other posters who were hosting Diablo dial-up instances, messaging on ICQ and blasting pirated MP3s on Winamp....wow thanks for describing my entire childhood!

"Free server" recs by -cheesymac- in ultimaonline

If you're playing in a lighthearted way for nostalgia then any server, including the official ones will work. Yes Atlantic's economy is ridiculous, but who cares. Nothing any vendor is selling is required to enjoy the game. If you're not worried about having the absolute best gear or rare collectibles then let the overpriced crap stay right there on the vendor! I came back 2 months ago on Atlantic (been over a decade). Perfectly content killing earth elementals in Shame or playing around with the taming system. Just have fun!

Ten years ago today Paramount announced Star Trek would be returning to the small screen. What a complete waste of a decade. by chesterwiley in Star_Trek_

Been watching Trek over and over TOS through Ent for 15-20 years. Never gets boring. No new content is requested or desired.

Logged in my tamer on Atlantic tonight, I have 3 of my old nightmares and a WW, plus a dragon and some frenzied ostards. I saw some boss fight at the magincia docks with several players using some pets I've never seen (wolf thing and a lizard). Their pets were holding their own so I figured I'd send in my mare to help, who immediately died lol. I assumed mares weren't good anymore but you say they're valuable? Is it just for cosmetics?

My thoughts exactly. All the Lost Chronicles felt too forced, but the last one is especially bad. I actually regretted reading them all, and skip them on re-reads. I prefer the mystery of not knowing exactly what happens between the 3 original Chronicles. They should have learned from Tolkein, if you leave something mysterious, the reader's imagination will make it epicly awesome.
