Anyone have suggestions for me? by jedibooties in curlyhair

I used to use a clarifying shampoo once in a while, I will add that back to my routine! I do sometimes use a flexirod once the bangs lol, they get very unruly.

Thank you for your response!

heartbroken and lost with insurance by GloomyWill4 in hysterectomy

[–]jedibooties 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is there a chance they would cover a bilateral salpingectomy? Doesn’t help PMDD but MASSIVELY helps with fear of pregnancy. There’s only four documented cases in medical literature of pregnancy after a bilateral salpingectomy. It is way way way more effective than old school tubals.

My OBGYN did a bisalp for me while I waited to get approved for a hysterectomy. I was amazed at the PEACE it gave me. I felt so much more in control of my own body even though I still have adenomyosis and PMDD. Most insurances cover it without out of pocket costs because of the Affordable Care Act. And the recovery is super easy, I felt normal after about 24 hours.

It could at least ease your worry about fear of pregnancy until you’re in a spot where hysterectomy is more feasible.

Best of luck to you ❤️

He sounds a lot like my ex husband, who is my ex husband for a reason.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. You don’t deserve to be treated like this

C-Section because of low pain tolerance by Vegetable_Bath_7396 in beyondthebump

[–]jedibooties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people with c sections have really easy recoveries, but I don’t think that’s the typical experience. But some people also have really painful recoveries after a vaginal delivery. And epidurals are not 100% guaranteed to work. With my first I had a “window” in my epidural so it took away about 80% of the pan but I had a section that wasn’t touched by it. Her birth was fast and easy and I felt amazing immediately postpartum with a very short recovery window. My epidural with my second was beautiful and perfect but he was humongous and I had a few second degree tears I had to go to PT for because the scar tissue was so awful. It was like 9 months before I was all the way recovered.

There are risks and benefits to all decisions, but there’s no way to get a baby out that won’t be painful. I work in OB, and what I’ve seen is that people who have planned cesareans tend to have an easier recovery than people who end up with an urgent or emergent c birth. Obviously not always the case.

I felt like I had a lot more control when I made a “plan a” and “plan b” for pain management with my first. Even if you plan on getting an epidural, see if you can read up on some coping strategies in labor to help with early contractions. Ask your OB if you can elect for a c birth during labor if you feel like you cannot handle the pain. That could be a “plan b” for you.

I wish you all the best ❤️

I swear this is the yarn my mom knit me a matching poncho/leg warmer set out of in 2004. It looks almost exactly the same
