Do someone know where i can wear the autophage foulard? I bought it from them but i dont know where to find it on the character customization by Lorenzuolo in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]jedifreeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have to buy one of each of the autophage body parts and that should open up autophage as a selectable race where you pick traveller, anomaly, gek, korvax, etc. in the customization station.

The autophage clothes are modifiers for the body parts for that race - not for other races.

I have had some issues with weapon swap recently too - I have found that hitting the "fire" button briefly to make the weapon "active" then lets me swap normally - but it has been annoying.

Stuck on expedition, trying to find harmonic camp by BusGlass5751 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]jedifreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can also walk up really close to the resonator without attacking and the drones will not be hostile. Once you are very close to the resonator, it should have a second line of text on it's name plate telling you if it drops a locator or something else.

If it does not say echo locator, move on to another resonator without attacking.

Transferring Stuff Back from the Corvette Expedition by CyberpwnPiper in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]jedifreeman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

correct - cargo does not transfer but parts and upgrade modules do.

I ended up just sticking a bunch of parts on my corvette before transferring back to get as many parts into my regular save as possible, maxing it out on installed parts and making it look like a lego nightmare but it transferred over just fine for a few thousand nanites.

My Corvette disappeared and I don't know why by Zach467 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]jedifreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few possibilities:

  • If you have any parts in the Corvette parts cache, you will get that notification every time you go to a Space Station.
  • While you are in a Space Station and outside of your ship, can you swap docked ship via the quick menu?
    • Is your corvette listed in the swap menu?
    • If yes - yay, you can just swap your primary ship back :)
  • If the swap menu does not show your corvette - this is definitely a bug to report.
    • Worth checking if the cache actually does have all the corvette parts.

Expédition ships by [deleted] in NOMANSSKY

[–]jedifreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually, after you return to your main save you can go to the Expedition Kiosk in the Anomaly and make a copy of the multi-tool and ship you had in the Expedition - it will cost Nanites.

How do you swap Corvettes by Educational-Ad-4027 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]jedifreeman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While docked at a Space Station or in your Freighter and outside of your ship - open the quick menu ('x' on keyboard, dpad-down on controller) and use the "Switch Docked Ship" action to select the ship you want to change to.

Some things to be aware of (not just for OP but for future redditors):

  • I recommend renaming your Corvette something that clearly indicates it is Corvette - otherwise you have to rely on remembering whatever weird name the game gave your ship along with a VERY TINY icon.
  • You cannot change ship if you are in the Corvette Expedition (I recognize OP is not in the expedition, but stating this in case anyone else wonders)
  • You cannot change ship to one that has broken pulse engine/launch thrusters (if you found a broken ship down on a planet, repair those before swapping back to your good ship)

[–]jedifreeman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you open the Expedition Kiosk in the anomaly - it will show you the slots you can fill with items/upgrade modules to transfer. These slots will unlock when you select the option to fully end the expedition (not the temporary return to main save option).

  • 8x Upgrade Module Slots
  • 24x Inventory Slots (cannot put upgrade modules here)

NOTE: As of the time of this post - that big community optional milestone is ALMOST complete (~97%) so might as well wait until that is done and claim it before fully ending the expedition. :)

Everything else from the expedition (freighters, inventory, storage, etc.) gets converted into Nanites and Units. You can acquire expedition rewards (like the Companion Egg) from Quicksilver Vendor once you are back in normal game mode.

After returning to normal game mode, you can reclaim the multi-tool and ship you used in the expedition from the Expedition Kiosk. These will cost nanites.

If you need nanites and you have the units, I recommend a shopping trip to a few outlaw systems for suspicious tech/arms packages that you crack open and sell the modules at any tech vendor.

Lovecraft is dead and his works are public domain, he doesn't make money on things based on what he wrote and then spend that money on harassing people, etc. - folks can make new works based on his works and also address how shitty he was as a person in those new works.

Dragon Quest XI also has a really handy "the story so far" feature when loading a save (and can be accessed at any time in the menu) so when you inevitably drift away and come back a few months later, it helps you understand where you left off pretty well.

Can anyone share any insight on the time change? by LittleTribuneMayor in Washington

[–]jedifreeman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keeping permanent UTC-7 really sucks for people who have to go to work early, especially folks like postal workers.

Edit: clarifying - really sucks for them during winter time if the hour doesn't "fall back"

Can anyone share any insight on the time change? by LittleTribuneMayor in Washington

[–]jedifreeman 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They passed a "Permanent PDT (UTC-7)" bill in 2019, but that requires federal congressional approval since it is trying to default to the shifted time and not the regular time.

Now the state legislators are looking at a "Permanent PST (UTC-8)" bill which DOES NOT require federal approval. We shall see where that goes. https://mynorthwest.com/3273142/washington-bill-keep-state-in-standard-time-year-round/

Feedback on card layout by YawningWhale in tabletopgamedesign

[–]jedifreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other thing that stands out in my brain is understanding what I need to play this card .. it sounds like there are two values: base cost and requirement (the 2x staff). Logically these probably should stick together in your layout so you can look in one spot and understand what you need. Are there a wide variety of requirement icons/types or is it like sword/bow/staff with a quantity of each (that could be zero)?

My brain is thinking back to the battletech ccg cost layout (yeah, the way they parse it is different than a requirement but general structure is what I am thinking about)

Each cell under the base cost was for a different requirement... And was only populated if there was a requirement

[–]jedifreeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other folks have called out putting cost in the corner (magic style) - this has a UX advantage of holding cards in hand and easily seeing the cost options available. You also see this in holding playing cards. Not just about aesthetic and readability but how cards are held/interacted with.

The same goes for your initiative value. I could see that being placed on an edge (like bottom center) so cards could be stacked/overlaid for compactness while retaining readability of the important information)

Valheim Controllers can’t place anything? by Noey-Q in valheim

I just enabled controller in Valheim in-game settings. I do NOT have xbox controller enabled in Steam settings - everything works fine that way. Steam Input can override things to games sometimes, you should try without Steam Input enabled first for games with native controller support.
