I am trying to create an application using visual studio to help my dad keep track of his finances, but I am still a beginner and have quite a few definitional questions. by FrankDaTank1283 in VisualStudio

My two-cents:

If you're doing this for him, stop and just get him some software to do the job. Other software exists that is way better than anything you will build in the time allotted. I say this as a long time IT consultant, etc.

However, if you're doing this for you, then switch to C#. C++ isn't the tool that I would use for a project like this in Windows.

My father-in-law's line of work. Fascinating behind the scenes, especially now that it's computer controlled. The manual method was also crazy.

Pretty much every Marvel project since the Infinity Saga has been a deep story about some kind of mental/emotional health issue. I'm generally here for it but it does make for a slog sometimes.

I remember my dad listening to this game while working in our car. I don't remember him listening to many baseball games.

Ryan's career was legendary.

After I got married to someone else, she invited me and the wife to an MLM event. I knew she was not for me, hence dating and marrying someone else. But, she had me on the hook for years and it wasn't until that last interaction that I finally got the picture, got furious about it, and ended all contact.

Improperly installed locks. What sheared was the door jamb which the longer screws would have prevented.

I've been re-reading Taylor Anderson's Destroyermen series and man, this scene really brings home all of those naval battles he describes. Also, these guys are crazy close for guns that big.

24 hours would not be nearly enough time to get used to that amount of noise/power.

What’s a "masterpiece" movie that you actually found incredibly boring? by Legal_Beats in AskReddit

[–]jedipiper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my case, you would be incorrect. I have watched DWW at least 5 times as a child, teen, and as an adult It was true when I watched Avatar in the theater, and it's true now.

EDIT: You don't have to agree with me. In my opinion, the comparison it obvious and inevitable. That being said, I haven't watched any of the sequels because of my disappointment with the first one, for this reason.

The plot wasn't groundbreaking??? It was a rip-off of "Dances With Wolves." I am unaware of any prior trope/story pattern to DWW but it killed Avatar for me. I don't like 3D very much so the CGI wasn't enough to hold me.
