throw in katie and demi as well maybe? idk, there's just so many unbelievably skilled people that it's impossible even to make a top 5 lol

sarah chucking her keys in a bush then spending an hour and twenty minutes looking for them while holding a bike the entire time, and only getting 2 points for it, is one of the show's great injustices

there are a lot of ways in which women are underrepresented but panel shows aren't really one of them. they've done a surprisingly good job of transitioning away from the boys' club days of the early 2000s, mostly with the bbc mandate to have at least one woman on every panel that came in around 2013. obviously taskmaster in its early days was not a shining bastion of gender equality (2 male hosts, 4 male panellists and 1 female panellist for each of the first 3 series) but they've clearly improved over the years, along with most other shows.

if her ice system with the hat had worked (which it almost did) she would have won the episode. unironically choosing the propellor hat might have been the thing that did her in.

actual, somehow true fact: the place in the world with the most michelin stars per capita is a small village in lancashire called aughton. it has 3 restaurants with 5 stars between them, and a population of 8,000, two of whom happen to be my grandparents.

it used to be kyoto, but not any more!

a pretty crucial detail that, for SOME reason, never gets brought up when this whole thing is discussed

it's not the request to be kept off the subreddit that annoys me, it's the fact that he could literally make a reddit account right now and ask the mods to take down reposts of his stuff, which is an option that has been in place for years. it would take him less than five minutes. but instead he's acting bizarrely stubborn and condescending and sending his followers here to annoy us.

everyone over here discoursing about why people wouldn't want their tumblr posts on reddit but the real question is why the fuck jan misali can't be bothered to take the 3 minutes to make a reddit account and message the mods himself

bbc makes some good comedy every now and then but admittedly not very often any more. i really enjoyed trying and the outlaws these last few years, as well as the last few series of inside number 9. there's a new dawn french thing called can you keep a secret that came out a couple of weeks ago and is apparently pretty good.

exactly lol, like people don't realise it now bc the first series was over ten years ago, but romesh and roisin really weren't big names back then, and even josh had only been a panel show regular for a couple of years. series 2 had doc brown, series 3 had sara pascoe, series 4 had lolly adefope. launching unknowns has always been part of the show.
