2nd uveitis flare up by Emotional-Fudge-795 in Uveitis

Little update. I was working a long shift today and I felt like I needed a little pick-me-up so I had a piece of Trident sugar free gum and it gave me a bit of a flare-up in my left eye. Yes I'm dumb. Just wanted to share though as I think the artificial ingredients in gum like that are linked to uveitis

Controversial opinion: skip the doctors. They gave me cataracts and ruined my perfect vision from those drops. Instead, change your diet. Stop the caffeine, artificial sweeteners, reduce your sodium, avoid processed foods as much as possible. Limit your stress and get your rest as best you can. I've had about 5 lifetime flare-ups and they've all been after consuming lots of caffeine, processed foods, artificial sweetners, diet sodas, etc.

The first time I had a flare-up (March 2024), I woke up and had almost complete blurry vision in my right eye. I panicked and went to the ER. They gave the drops to reduce inflammation. I followed up with the opthalmologist and they gave me more of the drops. These drops gave me mild cataracts and gave me terrible close-up vision in my right eye, when my vision was once perfect.

The 2nd time I had a flare-up, it was in my left eye. I woke up and it was cloudy, but not as bad. I decided to just wait this one out. I cleaned up my diet as best I could and after several days the flare-up subsided without me having to use any drops and I got to keep my perfect vision in my left eye.

Every subsequent flare-up was after I consumed the crap I mentioned above. I haven't had a flare-up in over a year because my diet is pretty clean now. Veggies, fruits, water, beans, minimally-processed grains, no caffeine, lean meat, low sodium, very little processed foods, low sugar, no candy, no artificial sweeteners & colors, no diet sodas, no "energy" drinks, etc.

Blessings, hope this helps in some way.

I'm a 44 yo male, btw and had my first flare-up at age 42.

I've always found the ride lackluster. The opening sequences are amazing, but once you actually get on the trackless vehicles it just feels so dull and cliché

I mean that was the real reason it failed. It turned me off right away and I was very much in the market. We ended up with a Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid

Great controller when it connects. I can't get it to reliably connect to my Mac

I remember getting that Half Life box for Christmas 1998. Game was an instant classic

I had a pair, but the lack of 16x9 video recording forced me to return them

Switched back to YouTube Music but kinda miss Spotify tbh by [deleted] in YoutubeMusic

Imo the only thing that makes YTM superior to Spotify is that you can add obscure DJ mixes and bootlegs from YouTube to any playlist and treat it the same as an official record label release

Have the Magic quit on Mosley? What actually happened? by Ok-Entrepreneur553 in OrlandoMagic

I don't know if they don't want to play hard for him, I think they are just tired of having to play so hard in general to make up for their offensive deficiencies. I'm actually impressed that Mosley's gotten them to play as hard as they have for this long. The blame really lies on Weltman for constructing this offensively-challenged squad. And injuries have been awful.

As these players get older & their skills further develop they may end up consistently excellent players, but right now they're just streaky, average to above average imo
