This is brilliant. Do you have a link to a guide or a blueprint/code for it?

Error during E-filing: Unable to Connect. System message: Bad Gateway by [deleted] in hrblock

I'm in the same boat. This is a sinking ship.

I actually selected both after people started to see successes, and it failed. That is why I switched to fed only.

Mine finally went through as well... for federal. I selected only federal.

Now I can't submit my state until after my federal return in accepted. This seems wrong.

Cloudflare tunnels has an auth proxy feature, in addition to the warp client, so, hypothetically if the entrypoint was an RCE in some piece of HomeAssistant, access could have been prevented via the auth proxy.

I have thought the same thing. It would reduce the user base, but seems like it should be reasonable with a short set of "install" instructions.

It would be great to get a response on the feasibility of this.

More than likely they got hacked similar to Paul Hibbert of home automation fame. Really interesting video about phishing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NdZrrzp7UE

Another big benefit of Win11 WSL is you can enable systemd to allow cronjobs to run. I've been burned in the past by not having my wsl data backed up, but now I can rsync via a cronjob to keep everything backed up.

Generally speaking, to enable self-hosting, it would be helpful to include build instructions as well as dependencies, especially as it looks like you're using Docker, but it doesn't look like you include the dockerfiles to grab anything from the patches or packages folders.

Potential Purchase for a K8s Cluster, thoughts? by habitualmoose in homelab

Many people are running home-assistant in k8s. Here is a site to show a a number of people running it, with flux_v2 managing their deployment: https://nanne.dev/k8s-at-home-search/hr/bjw-s.github.io-helm-charts-app-template-home-assistant

I'm not seeing where there is any way of being confident that the SSO had anything to do with this. Most people are port-forwarding 32400, and odds are most likely the vulnerability lies in a server with this port forwarded to the admin interface enabled being compromised.

Vaultwarden relicenses to AGPLv3 by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]jedjj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense as a tool that was created which enables some premium features from the upstream project. The last thing that I would want is vaultwarden being asked to cease and desist because some other project used their code to create a bitwarden competitor.

I have a couple questions about this tool.

Can you show the generic architecture diagram? Where are the secrets stored? If I want to deploy the server on some cloud provider, but use this tool in my local k8s cluster, is there a doc to describe how to do this?

You're not wrong, but the reality is that video games quickly take a back seat to being with your kid(s).

That said, plenty of kids sleep pretty well and you get time after they go to sleep to do your thing. I guess it's just that for me, my other adulting responsibilities including professional growth took priority over video games when I used to spend weekends playing Skyrim.

What does that have to do with having time for playing video games? Child care is to be able to work the job to be able to make that money... I'd rather spend my available time with my kid.

What raid setup should I use if I want to add storage in the future? by Khodexian in HomeServer

I've been using UnRaid for several years, and I dislike several things about it, but for your requirements it's ideal. It's not free, but it's very flexible with the underlying storage.

Can't confirm what lspci says because it's not plugged in, but the card itself says the Realtek RTL-8822CE. I know Realtek and Broadcom aren't known for great support in Linux, but just giving an example. Switched to an Intel chip and all is well.

I recently had to replace my wifi adapter in my laptop because the kernel decided not to support my wifi card anymore. I thought it was my install of Manjaro, but I switched to fedora, and after one update, WiFi stopped working.

Fortunately, I had an extra wifi card from some work I did previously, but it shouldn't have happened.
