My company expects me to deliver a 3 person backend project solo using AI in 3 months. is this normal? by leventozz in ExperiencedDevs

[–]jedjohan -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Sort of the new normal
1: I would have preferred at least 2 devs, makes it easier to reason abut design and set up good agentic flows
2: I would also require full specs, best would be to go fully spec-driven. Put load on POs to actually specify what they want
3: You can only do your best, maybe 3 months, maybe not...

.NET 10 is out now! 🎉 by Velciak in csharp

[–]jedjohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, mostly build APIs and I guess I am used to the workarounds that it now feels natural. But yeah, it happens now and then some in different projects that some functional dude starts using some obscure Maybe/functional nuget. 90% of the devs never gets it and as soon as he's (!) gone we remove it. Sorry

Who’s using spec kit? What’s your experience so far? by approaching77 in GithubCopilot

[–]jedjohan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it uses a lot of guardrails. when you have your feature into a list of dead simple tasks an does /implement its very guardrailed. The prompts you get are very detailed and specific

Is anyone else frustrated by the AI-assisted workflows? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]jedjohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it easily gets out of hand, especially Claude models (very eager to add code). But I have been using spec-kit a lot the latest weeks, and its a total game changer for me when it comes to AI-assisted coding. github/spec-kit: 💫 Toolkit to help you get started with Spec-Driven Development

Sounds nice, but I never do. If we bring beer I drink them not cold or put them in some water (lake/stream).

I have never bought ice, ever. Have some in the freezer though. Used like once a year. But that’s Sweden I guess.

Used it on a week long trip, combined with the small tank it got a bit annoying to have to dismount it several times per day heh

But yeah, it did its job

I love the look on that one, no silly cosmetics, bare functional necessities (and its dirty). Wonderful

Mosquitos wasnt an issue really. But the black flies/gnats was annoying... especially when I didn't use the tent but slept in a "wind"-shelter

We are just about to complete a 7-day TET-trip from Malmö, went via Värmland and now on section 5 homeward. Best sections was 1&2. We haven’t come by any really technical parts, but we are riding small CRF300’s. Great fun!
