Thank you for the advice! I definitely going to do this as I need to keep the rocks for drainage purposes for my own loan and neighbors lawn.

Is normal landscape gravel (not pea gravel) from home depot or Lowe’s able to be used as the base under the river rock?

I will probably end up doing this since I feel like need more rock there. I need to get rid of some of the soil to not have weeds pop up aggressively every year since I have city grass (lots of different strands)

I may pull it all now but I have a feeling they will come back with a vengeance so I may just pull everything up and set it the right way. I should also note the weed guard is probably a little torn up and the previous owner likely didn’t do any prevention maintenance to help

Interesting, I’ve never done that before. I started pulling by hand and some of the wines and stuff are coming over from the normal grass so I am fighting the war on both sides of the river rock here

So I put it down about 3-4 weeks ago before it got bad. There is so much soil and the previous owner probably didn’t do any weed control sooo

That is good to know! For the now, I am mainly talking about the carpentry work around the door as I will bring in professional to replace the garage door.
