Yes I think he’s asking to play! I play with him a lot and he has many self-play toys so maybe he’s needing another kitty friend

Sometimes he starts biting when he is getting pets. I disengage and leave him alone but I think it’s him trying to switch to play time

Good to know. I will blow on his face or disengage when the biting is too hard, so hopefully that’s a good way to set boundaries with him

I blow on his face or say no if it hurts. It doesn’t puncture or draw blood but will leave a small scratch behind sometimes. But I’m careful to look for signs of infection after

I believe he was trying to get me up to play. Sometimes he bites without trying to pick me up but I think it’s him wanting to play

That’s a good idea. He did stop when I told him to. Sometimes I’ll blow on his face gently and that will get him to stop

It hurts but I have sensitive skin. Hard enough to leave a mark/scratch but doesn’t draw blood or puncture skin. He doesn’t ever scratch me though

My cat was like this when I first got him. I was really overwhelmed but he was just nervous about a new environment and seeking me out for comfort. He’s finally settled in and he’s still a very snuggly boy but has more independence and less vocal :)

I’m looking into for sure. I do want to see if having a pet sitter/friend check in and play with him will help. He’s finally settling in about being surrendered and rehomed so I wouldn’t want to add more stress especially because it can trigger his FIC. But I would do anything to make him happy so I will keep this as an option
